Not knowing about Phil is not something I can fault anyone for. But doing a "piece" on him without doing research? Yeah, that makes you look bad.

I am against cancel culture, but Phil has broken Twitch's ToS more times than I care to count, and the worst he has had was a slap on the wrist. But the moment people start to point out his racism, then all of the sudden he needs more protection? It makes The Quartering look bad (well, worse, he already looks pretty bad), but if you claim to be pushing against the current "fake news" outlets and stuff like that, the least you can do, is be informed.

If the interview actually happens, it will be a complete shitshow: Jeremy will lack the knowledge to call out Phil out on his bullshit, and Phil will then be able to weasel his way out with his usual rhetoric "that was taken out of context", "lies based on a snippet of truth" and the classic "nothing I could do".

If anything, this will look kind of like the debunk stream, where he will try to rewrite history. I really wish someone else would do the interview. Instead of having ItsAGundam ask a question, he should be the one.

Then again, I am being overly optimistic about the interview happening. Phil will bail out, he'll have the sniffles (sick), he won't have time to do it (he'll lose money by not streaming) or some other shitty excuse.

As potentially entertaining as the idea of Phil being interviewed is, I don't think he'll do it. Really, there's very little benefit to him. The person interviewing him has more to gain since Phil almost never does interviews, meaning that this would almost certainly bring in extra views. There isn't much that Phil can say to change anyone's mind about him--if you want to see the real DSP, watch his stream. And there's a very real chance that if he felt the questions were insulting or trollish, he might just end the interview. It's basically a high risk/low reward scenario.

He's of the opinion that most people are out to get him, so even an interviewer who seems to be sympathetic could potentially be trying to bait him into a situation in which he'd be ambushed. I think that's why he doesn't do interviews (or collaborations in general), because there's always the possibility that people are just trying to fuck with him. It would also take him out of his comfort zone--he'd be in a place where he wasn't in charge of things, where he couldn't block or ban anyone who disagreed with him.

He canceled an entire stream, because he is responsible for this entire situation. He was upset he had to return the item to get a refund (disconnected from reality as fuck), then he refused to dissasemble the item, forcing Amazon to hire a courrier service to come pick it up. For some reason, this courrier service failed to pick it up, be because they got a flat tire anf rescheduled a week later (the fuck?), called in sick, and refused to pick it up all together:

People were already in disbelief over this entire story and it is really fucking exceptional (not in the positive meaning of the word) how much hassle and lies Phil incorporates in something as fucking simple as returning an item. Because all he has to do, is open his door so he can hear the bell, not wear his headphones during the pick up time slot, and pause his stream for 2-3 minutes stop. I would like to point out that he regularly takes 10-20 minute breaks, but pausing a stream for a couple of minutes is grounds to camcel it all together.

Oh I know it's why I am so fascinated by him. You know he believes his own story, you can tell by his mannerisms.

But he makes the most trivial of tasks sound like a huge deal, but he deliberately makes the situation worse due to his self importance. The bike is yet another perfect example of that. He had time to assemble it, but outright refused to take it apart to send it back. He also seemed surprised when he had to return the item to begin with, if he wanted his money back.

Then, by refusing to take it apart, he made Amazon send a courier service, and was again surprised when he had to do some cooperation: he had to measure the item so they knew what kind of load they were dealing with. Then the story became fucking weird, with the courier service getting a flat tire and rescheduling for the next week(?) and that they called in sick (because a courier service only has one driver?) and then flatout refused to come.

He wants to share this story in order to let everyone know his struggles and that he is the victim here. But all it does, is show how disconnected from reality he is. This whole fucking situation could have been avoided if he took the damn thing apart himself. That probably would take a couple of minutes and then send it back. Hell, he could have had his money back by now.

He claims he never has time to do this, but he had time to assemble the thing somehow. He can't not stream because he is in the worst financial situation ever, but he dropped last night's stream due to this whole situation. He actually revered to this with "due to events.." like it's a fucking natural disaster or something.

His choice of words, he mannerisms, everything is baffling. He makes mountains out of molehills and makes the most menial task seem like a feat that he has overcome.

To be fair, she did call him an idiot, although his reaction was still unwarranted. I'm talking more about the times people will ask a question that's already been asked, or when people will offer a legitimate criticism, or when Phil misunderstands a comment. I've seen multiple instances of those people getting insulted. Beyond insulting people in streamchat, look at how he talks about other people and companys. I don't know how many times he's called the people at Google or some game developers a bunch of fucking morons, and none of them trolled him or were rude to him.
