Even though I knew Conquest was the tougher game I decided to start with Birthright to have the difficulty ramp up instead of down, but in the end I didn't have any motivation to move forward. I also wasn't a fan of the fortress building hub. That said this game looks a bit more appealing. :> But I fear the story will be terrible again. Despite having a good concept with 3 different factions, the possibility to be dynamic is there -- I just fear it's gonna be soooo shallow. With dopey character interactions. Fire Emblem is never going to be as good as it was in the Tellius phase, or even the GBA phase, but I've come to terms with that a while back.
