Yeah adding co-op to BotW seems like a pretty easy way to drastically change how everything works.

In games, the main characters are usually the blandest characters in the game (due to them being a stand in for the player)

and dragon quest is the king of featureless boring main characters, but they're basically just there as vessels for a dragon quest moveset.

I dont really blame them. Theres definitely a vocal group online that thinks we already had more than enough anime sword users and theres lots of better stuff we couldve gotten as another Square rep even if a lot of them are also anime-looking sword users too >_>

There is a significant number of Smash fans who feel that the series has become too saturated with "generic anime swordsmen" and throw a temper tantrum whenever one is revealed.

I didn't really mind it back when it was rumored, but thinking about it more, it gives Crono basically a 0% chance of happening now, and I hate the western localizations of (almost all) the DQ games, so I never got into them.

So, from that standpoint, it kind of sucks. I just hope the unique part of his moveset is good enough to justify him gameplay-wise.

Treehouse Live just ended earlier. That's a bit surprising because in past years, Treehouse Live would end around 8:00 PM EST on Day 1 and Day 2, while Day 3 ends around 5:00 PM EST.

Robin has the tome mechanic which gives his spells limited uses before needing to recharge

Heros spells look like they may be similar to Pacmans fruit attack where you hold down the button to select which thing youre going to use, but its not clear.

also none of the other sword characters except the Links use a shield. Heros basics are probably more like him than like the FE characters.

Two actual complaints I have about Hero:

-DQV Hero really should've been an alt, I'm pretty sure he's the most popular Dragon Quest MC in Japan outside of Erdrick so it sucks that he didn't get in regardless
-DQ11 guy sucks as a default, his design isn't good. It really should've been Erdrick considering he's the archetypal Hero of the series, and it's obvious that 11 only got the default status to advertise DQ11 Switch

These aren't huge complaints though, overall Hero is looking really good

I'll be honest when they started showing the trailer for Luigi's Mansion 3 I was expecting them to tag it with a port of Dark Moon, but quickly forgot about it and just remembered now.

He probably didn't make it because he's commonly shown with a staff. Like look at the Final Smash. He looks so out of place there as the only guy without a sword.

Their "names" usually come from manga or are just the name of the game they're from. I also included the titles if they have one

DQ2 - Lorasia (The Prince of Midenhall)
DQ3 - Arel (Erdick is a title given to the legendary hero of the era)
DQ4 - Solo/Sofia based on what gender you pick (The Chosen)
