83 packs got me 6 legendaries counting the 2 free ones

Activate the Obelsik(free quest)
Making Mummies( golden bundle card)
Dark Pharaoh Tekahn

Got the Shaman quest as my free quest, and Shaman legendary from the bundle, so thats two things I wont need to craft.

Early thoughts: Druid quest is really consistent so far, at least without seeing a true aggro deck. The Choose One rush minion is really strong, and between the choose 1 Discover spell and the unspent mana minion, you have options for early game to complete the quest around turn 5/6.

I opened absolute dogshit. Three quests I won't use and Octosari. 15 total rares, 4 of which were the same card (and 2 other duplicates). Missing rares, didn't even get a complete set of commons.

If Blizzard left the preorder sale open on day 1, I just might have bought it as an impulse reaction, but knowing that I'm now "losing" 10 packs in the process I think I'm just gonna walk away. I don't have the dust to cover this kind of bullshit.

The great thing about this set is there's nothing I really want so I don't think I can possibly be disappointed.

Yeah, that's kinda where I was. The priest, shaman, druid, and warlock quests all seemed pretty cool, though, so of course I got the rogue and hunter quests, which appear to me to be the absolute worst two of the entire bunch, plus Elise the Enlightened, which....... why?

Rogue quest looks good to me, I'd probably place it third behind Shaman and Druid. I opened Paladin for my free one, which I'll likely never play but who knows.

I want to play the reno cards, even though I think the new Reno isn't particularly good, but at the trash ranks the most popular deck I play against is Bomb Warrior so that's not going to happen.

I got the mage quest

I already hate reborn after playing against 2 paladins, those cards seem like they should all cost 1 more mana than they do

Meaningless gripe, but I take issue with the wording of the druid's quest and it's interaction with that card that transforms into 1 of 4 dinosaurs. The wording on the power generated by the quest specifically says choose "both" but the dino card has more than 2 choices. I don't think they should be able to get a 4-in-1 transformation off that power. Pfeh.

I tried the Rogue quest a decent amount, but it seems at odds with itself. If you're generating cards from other classes, you're basically going for some kind of Value Rogue, but the reward you get is more in line with a more aggressive kind of Rogue. I actually cut the quest from the deck and kept the rest of the burgle aspect of it intact and had a much better time with it.

Shaman is the early one that people think is very good.

I've seen people on CompetitiveHS hyping warrior, which is a bit of a surprise, because the expectation was that it would be worse than Dr Boom. Apparently ok in some kind of aggro/tempo deck.

Priest quest...is very scary on paper, just nobody has figured out a deck to put it in yet.

I've been debating between crafting the Druid Quest or crafting Zephrys specifically for singleton Hunter.

Quest Paladin is fun so far! Still trying to find the best balance between reborns and mechs. Man, if paladins had that rush reborn that Warriors got this deck would be SO good.

Shaman looks nuts, and Warrior looks worthless until Boom rotates.

Priest looked good to me at first, but I played against it twice today with a deck consisting of 30 Druid class cards built solely to finish Druid quests and beat it both times. I want to like it because I like Priest, but after those two games I came away unimpressed.

I dunno if you need to craft him for the quest deck. You can't even activate the hero power before playing shudderwock. (Obviously it's fine in any deck with a bunch of battlecries, but I don't think it's mandatory).

Priest quest is bad. It has the same problem Dinomancy, old dk shaman, and new hunter quest has. Once they lose the board its usually game over.

It's a lot better than Dinomancy to be fair. Dinomancy does nothing on an empty board, priest can still heal face (and is better than your baseline hero power, so it's never a downgrade like Dinomancy can be). Dinomancy only hits beasts, and beasts tend to be really easy to clear. Priest hero power can be used with actually sticky minions like reborn and deathrattles and what not. Also +3/+6 (potentially) instead of +2/+2.

8-3 in my first Tavern Brawl. Went with Mech (bomb) hunter as I wanted something to counter Warrior. Lost to literally every Warrior I faced. >_>

I don't really know what the answer to Warrior is right now, but hey, got 230 gold from that run, entry fee is 150, should be able to just farm this event.

So I opened the Shaman, Rogue and Priest quests on EU/Asia, and while I think I can build semi-respectable decks for the latter two to tinker around with, Shaman is another matter. My Shaman collection on EU is the opposite of NA where I pretty much have everything. So... I have enough dust to craft the rares and epics I want along with three legendary cards, and I have literally zero legendary cards that I think would be worth putting in the deck at the moment. Am I correct in believing Non-Hero Hagatha, Siamat and Barista are the three I should be crafting?

Also, the brawliseum curse continues.

NA, where I tried building a deck that I thought would do good: 2-3
EU, Golden Whizbang: Currently 6-1
Asia, Golden Whizbang: Currently 4-0

Nothing makes you think less of your deckbuilding skills than being outclassed by the deck recipes for the fourth consecutive brawliseum, or however many brawliseums Whizbang had been around for now.

8-3 again with Mech Hunter.

I am getting pretty bored of playing this deck, though, so I should probably find an alternative. I did open one Tip the Scales, so I could try murloc Paladin. I don't have Zephrys or Finley, but like...the deck is full of dupes, so I think I can get away without them. Crafted the prismatic lenses a while back.

Aaand ok, crafted Tip the Scales and went 3-3 with Scales Paladin. Maybe that was a mistake :/

Did you play it for 1 mana?

I mean in my experience it doesn't really matter too much if it's 1 mana or 3 mana, after you cast it you won't be able to play any other minions or hero power because your board will be full so >_>

I think I'm going to try my hand at the Highlander Quest Rogue deck that's made the rounds in China. Looks unbelievably fun.

The guide I was looking at actually recommended against the quest, just because you have a lot less thief cards to even trigger the quest due to being singleton.

(On the other hand, apparently Tess Greymane is actually good in this deck, because of spells you get off of Zephrys are actually worth repeating, so that's new and different).

Tip The Scales costs 7, silly. The point of the deck is tutoring with Prism so you can play Scales for a cheap cost and faceroll.

Tip the Scales costs 8.

And yeah, I've played the deck, and I've had Tip the Scales reduced to 1 mana. Except...when it is reduced to 1 mana, I tend to have a bunch of unspent mana on the turn that I play it. So in practice, getting a 1 mana tip the scales and 3 mana tip the scales isn't...really all that different when it's coming off a prismatic lens.

Bomb Hunter does well against that deck because it summons a billion goblin bombs to keep their armor off. Then you just go tall and all they have for removal are brawls, devastators, and BGH. Ive beaten many a control warrior with that deck by just going all in on one thing before they hit 10 mana.

I mean, it used to do well, but I'm about 1-5 against CW in Tavern Brawl right now.

CW picked up

* Frightened Flunky
* Restless Mummy
* Armagedillo
* Tomb Warden
* And sometimes Plague of Wrath

All of which are really quite good against bomb hunter.

Flunky and Mummy give early board control on a level CW didn't have pre-expansion.

Armagedillo is itself a huge taunt, and tends to cause CW to follow up with even more huge taunts. You can deal with a few huge taunts with spider bombs and stuff...but not a ton.

Tomb Warden is kind of obnoxious to deal with; even un-pumped, it's two pretty big taunts.

Plague of Wrath...there's a tendency for all your minions to be damaged (and half the time you're the one who damaged them via missile launcher).

HSReplay is showing this matchup as being Warrior favoured right now.

Just had the rng gods bless me in a game where I had as close to a 0% chance to win as I could ever possibly imagine. Facing six Lucentbarks, I doubled Swampqueen Hagathas battlecry and got Plague of Murlocs, Lightning Storm, Feral Spirit and Haunting Visions as my four spells. Next turn I permanently removed all of the Lucentbarks, killed four of the six resulting murlocs with Lightning Storm, blocked the other two from killing me with the taunts and rolled Witch's Brew with Haunting Visions which was just enough healing for me to survive the next two turns and win with one health.

This was my first game playing Quest Shaman, so it can only go downhill from here.

I went 12-2 with Warrior in the brawl, only losses were a fast zoo and Highlander Mage which got two conjurer's callings and a decent puzzle box.

I fought a lot of battlecry shamans and warriors which for some reason didn't run Elysiana.

Yeah, I went through all my Wild cards and was able to justify dusting enough of them so I could craft the quest, Swampqueen, and one Plague of Murlocs to give me a better chance against Mage, so I could at least have one fully functional deck this expansion. I still have enough to craft Barista Lynchen should I choose to, but I don't think she's particularly necessary, because all of its super high-value battlecries cost too much to play with her in the same turn. She's just more of a win more card.

Do you run Lynchen? If so, has she performed well for you?
