A song that I thought was okay until Online decided that it ruled

All of my posts about the NFL this year have either been about Jon Gruden or Nathan Peterman.

Smash is very strict about kicking you from online for suiciding. So I tried just mashing A until I was done getting dumpstered. Kicked me for that. Finally I figured out I have to let myself get hit and guide myself off the stage to end those.

Do you guys use the C stick on the GameCube controller for smash attacks? I'm so used to the N64 controller I just use the left analog stick.

Sometimes but not always. It's pure animal instinct that decides whether I go for A or the c-stick.

I've heard of people mapping their tilt attacks (non-smash directional attacks) to the c-stick. Those are pretty hard to land with the default setting so it may be worth looking into.

I never liked the feel of using the C/right stick. I know it's technically easier but hitting A is just more satisfying, and I feel like it helps me get the timing better. Also in Melee IIRC you couldn't charge with the C-stick so that didn't give me much incentive to get in the habit, though I believe you can charge it in Ultimate

The one game where the C-stick actually would've been useful is 64 since some of our analog sticks wore out to the point it was virtually impossible to smash attack

Yeah you couldn't charge with it in melee but you've been able to since Brawl

Speaking of GameCube controllers, do you know if any adapter works? I've read that if you don't get an official ethernet adapter it could fuck up your Switch but for controllers I wouldn't think it would matter as much, but who knows

Can't say for sure cuz I have the Wii u one. But I've heard the name Mayflash as a 3rd party for that stuff... So that could be worth investigating

Man, this game is getting expensive if I end up getting both 'Cube and 'net adapters. Then there's also the Fighters Pass, aren't they making it so you can't just download individual characters? I don't even know if they'll include anybody I want

No you can get the fighters individually. It's $25 for the pass or $6 per fighter and there's gonna be 5 (not counting piranha plant)

Anyways, decided I'll give Mayflash a shot. I ordered one off eBay and the estimated delivery is between Dec 24 - Jan 8. That's a really big range

I never use c-stick because it feels weird to take my hand away from A or B. I also tap up to jump instead of pressing whatever button lets you jump.

I changed it to tilt (on my nintendo switch pro controller, not gamecube, mind you) to tilt because I never used the C stick. Now I still hardly ever use it

Yes literally every indie game is metroidvania.
Get out from under your rock chewy!!!!!!!!! Switch gets 2 really popular indie games that happen to be metroidvania and now all of a sudden every indie game is like this? There are thousands of non metroidvania indie games like Super Seducer and Dream Daddy: A Dad Dating Simulator (STLCards1991 is a walking strategy guide for this one)

Speaking of indie games, I just bought a new one that I'm super excited for. It's called Kenshi (sounds weeb, I know). It's like Rimworld, Don't Starve, and Mount and Blade (3 of my all time favorites) had a baby

Literally heard about this just the other day, looks like complete shit but sounds awesome

Graphically it's not pretty, and there's a lot to learn but I played it for a couple hours last night and it's really fun

I'm probably the biggest Nintendork here but I guess people don't really consider liking Nintendo games a big weeb thing

Though I don't even know if I'm really the biggest Nintendo fan overall, it's just that I don't play the other systems as much as everyone else

I think in my mind with games it's about what you put up with / what you like in a game and shit. So to play Mario Kart you don't need to have any appreciation or interest in japanese stuff but to play Danganronpa you have to be alright with big eyed big titted teenagers in school uniforms

But I also think that as with all things people would find things to enjoy in anime or visual novels and what have you if they were more willing to give it a try.

Yeah, most Nintendo games don't really have a lot of "Japanesey" stuff. What is their most weeb series? Probably Fire Emblem if that counts, but I don't know about fully first-party ones. Like the closest would probably be Zelda
