I took a look at the Switch board and some guy got called a shitty troll by several people for calmly explaining what he disliked about Sonic Mania. This website is so good

I don't get jolted awake from dreams much anymore but as a kid I'd have a dream I was falling down the stairs and wake up right before I hit the bottom

Remember how like 8-10 years ago any game that had online modes would come with an "online pass" so if you bought it used you would need to pay for online? That was weird.

I agree but I wonder why they stopped. Just cuz of enough outrage? Or maybe digital sales got big enough to offset used sales.

I could see digital sales as a reason. From what I remember, they said the negative reception wasn't worth whatever money they made.

If it lasted until today's times, I could see them getting rid of it because you can't buy lootboxes if you can't play online.

I used to have some trouble sleeping, but a couple things that helped were setting a timer for a blue light filter on my phone and computer

I have one on my phone but I basically don't even notice it despite being turned to high, so I'm not sure it does much.

I just turned on the one on my PC cause my eyes hurt. I used it before for like a week but couldn't get used to it. Everything is super orange tinted and if you rely on contrast for anything it sucks. Plus if you turn it off after using it for a while it's like staring at the sun

I also got an electric toothbrush for Christmas. It does feel like it makes me brush longer but that also could be because the brush head accepts less toothpaste so I run out of it faster. Usually my threshold for stopping has just been when the toothpaste runs out

I just realized what I posted doesn't really make sense. Basically, since I'm out of toothpaste faster, it feels like "Why am I still going this long?" But in reality the amount of time might not be any different than before

So you're saying Fortnite is not good? I personally can't really get into it, but I haven't trusted a lot of past criticism because I can tell that it's mostly people who are mad it's popular and that kids like it. Of course I know you aren't like that though so I'd take more stock in your opinion

I don't personally like it. I don't like the art style or the speed of it. And I don't care for the building aspect either.

I've probably said it before but I don't like how random it seems whether I finish like 85th or 15th. And there's the randomness of the weapon drops too. I don't think I ever really lasted long enough or I'm on such a low rank where building doesn't seem to be much of a factor.

The stupidest thing I think is that they don't even start you out with a shitty pistol or something. It's lame as hell when you drop in and the guy who got the nearby gun kills your ass like ten seconds in, then you gotta wait another minute for a new game to see what luck-ass shit falls your way

Honestly I think you just described the biggest reason I don't play it. There's too much waiting involved to get into a game and then you have to get lucky.

The other thing is if you want to have any fun, you're probably going to die. Or you can sit around and do nothing for a while and place high but playing a game where you hide for 15 minutes is not my idea of fun.

I don't like Fortnite either. I did enjoy PUBG though for what it's worth

I hate most speculative NFL articles, like power rankings, predictions, etc. And draft grades the day of the draft are seriously the most pointless thing of all time. Oh no a basement blogger on SBNation gave the Vikings a C- draft grade because he watched some youtube videos!

BUT I wish more sites did NFL redrafts a few years after each draft. Those are a lot more interesting to me, but they must not get any clicks because nobody does them.

I haven't been on the official website for a while, but I remember NFL.com doing a bunch of those a while back around draft time. And yeah, completely agreed with you on that. They're generally cool looks into where teams messed out in the draft.

I'd say that's about it if you're talking exclusives (and that's including Wii U ports as exclusives). I have MK8 of course but I don't know if it's essential.

Slurpee I know you like Matt Dumba...have you been following the drama this year? Long story short, a while ago, he laid a big but clean hit on a Calgary player with 2 minutes left in a game the Wild were gonna win. 1-2 weeks later MN played Calgary again and a guy started a fight against Dumba less than a minute into the game, as "revenge" against the hit (I hate fighting in hockey. It's a relic of a time that's gone). Dumba gets hurt from the fight, has to have surgery, and is out 3+ months. This offseason, Dumba signed a pretty big contract. Any fan with a brain was more than happy to have him locked up because he's still really young, improving, and a great player, but the facebook/twitter fans fucking HATE him. Past years, he got so much hate on social media. And now this year he's been doing awesome, and these same fans are lamenting his injury. I don't take social media fans seriously but I just read the comments sometimes for the laughs.
Kirk Cousins is getting the same treatment on social media. I won't write another essay, but I'm a Kirk loyalist. Pay him more money. I love Case but 100 times out of 100 I'd pay kirk than roll with Case.

1. The Flames are one of the most annoying teams (sorry Ogurisama). They are good, but they're also full of pests and dudes who think you need to fight every three minutes.
2. I remember the hit/fight part. And I don't get why he gets so much hate. From what I can gather, he's a decent puck possessing defender (other than last year, always has a Corsi above 52), and can be physical as well. It might be because he's not a large, towering defender (which tends to be a thing for neanderthal hockey fans), but he's got a solid game. Reminds me of a young Kronwall.

I get that impression about the Flames as well. I don't know a ton about them, but from watching them play the Wilds that what I see.
But yeah Dumba had a tendancy to have huge fuckups on defense, but that's been steadily improving. And he's always had a freaking cannon of a shot, scores a lot for a D-man, and is overall v likeable
