Everyone has a unique classic mode run too and some are pretty cool. You unlock someone every time you finish classic.

Adventure mode was pretty wack in Melee. Subspace emissary in Brawl was ok but had cool cutscenes. World of light isn't too bad but it's a whole lot.

Yeah I just realized after posting that the Spirits thing is some kind of adventure mode. Also I unlocked Richter and he's got some cool moves

I'd be down to play in an hour or 2 if yall tryna

Stardew Valley is getting multiplayer on the Switch next week and they still haven't implemented it for PS4 of XB1. I'm kinda salty.

But for real I love that the Switch can be a handheld for a lot of games. Some run like shit in handheld so you really need to play them docked (Hyrule Warriors, for example) but a lot are fine. It's really nice when you travel.

The PC version of Stardew is honestly the best because it always gets the updates first. It's been months since the PC version got multiplayer.

what should I get my dad for christmas?

He likes the Vikings and the Wild. One of his hobbies is smoking meat..he's got this big smoker and he makes biscuit with it, but idk if he needs any accessories for that. He's also finishing up the basement at the new house..anyone have any ideas for a cool "man cave" item?

There's this fancy cheese shop near me that sells this really fancy ham that he likes (some of it is $90 a pound!), so last resort I could go there and get a pound of some of the not crazy expensive stuff.

You could get him some like pennants or something. That's classic man cave.

I didn't realize Terrell Davis only played for 7 seasons, and only played 17 games total his last 3 seasons. That's pretty crazy. I wonder how many other hall of famers had that short of a career. (not saying he didn't deserve being in the HoF or anything like that)

If my dad disowned me at least I wouldn't have to go to his house for a holiday ever again. The guy's annoying, folks!

I like smoking meat as well. You could get him various woods to smoke with, you could look for different sauces or rubs to try. What I wouldn't mind getting that I've seen other smokers use are those giant gaterade coolers to brine meat in for smoking. He might like that as well.

Edit: In my finished basement I have flags hanging from the ceiling of the Packers, Bucks, Brewers and the Badgers so he might like flags of his teams to hang.

Thanks for the suggestions all yall. For some reason, my dad is the hardest one to get gifts for, because the dude can afford whatever the hell he wants, so I try to get him something he can use, but didn't know about. A couple years ago I nailed it with a chromecast. Cheap $25-$30 gift, but he didn't know it existed, and he uses it all the time.

Maybe if the Wild or Vikings ever have a championship pennant, I'll get him one. What woods do you use and what type of meat do you smoke?
My old man mostly smokes brisket and uses mesquite and applewood I think

And this is really saying something. I sometimes chuckle at how "dad" his posts are. (in the best way possible, of course)

I do biskets, turkey breasts and ribs mostly. For brisket I have used mesquite, apple and cherry woods. Each gives wood gives it a bit of a different flavor.

The hardest for me is my sister in law. She's too happy and too nice and it's annoying because her husband (my brother) will be like it doesn't matter, she'll just be happy to receive anything, and I'm like yeah I know that's WHY it has to be good

Yeah, my dad is the hardest to shop for as well. Although my family as a whole doesn't really have that many expectations as far as gifts go.

My dad is hard to shop for because he doesn't like sports or anything fathers are usually into. I have bought him power tools in the past but he still uses ones he's had since before I was born.

We siblings usually all go in on like play tickets for our dad and his girlfriend because it's simple and no one wants to shop for them anyway AND because he doesn't care while she will give an idiotic over the top reaction to any dumb bullshit
