I was sucking pretty hard with DK and he's an OG, so I feel like I know those characters' movesets the best.

Can you not do (up to) 8-player online? I feel like we should've switched to that when we got up to 5 people, especially so if Slurpee and Ultima ever end up getting it

Actually the big guys are pretty awesome in general in this one. Bowser and Ike are really good and DK hasn't felt this good to play in I don't know how long. Melee? 64 even? He's great, and not just because of his pissed off face when he has a charged punch ready to go. Dedede also makes some great angry faces in this one.

He still needs to work on his accuracy inside the pocket, but otherwise you see that he has great touch on his throws. Obviously electric outside of the pocket as well.

Flacco missed a month with a hip injury. He was active today, but the Ravens are going with Jackson moving forward. Rumor is that the Ravens are going to trade Flacco to "a team of his choice," whatever that means.

Lamar is a great runner and has been leading a great running attack the past five weeks. The Ravens have ran over 40 times in each game, and have had over 200 yards rushing in each game except one where they had like 192. A lot of his balls are wobbly and horrible out of his hand, and his accuracy is very questionable. He has shown some improvement in his reads week-to-week which is good. It's nice seeing a quarterback extend plays... he obviously knows what he is doing when he gets out of the pocket. He is fast as fuck, but I worry when he gets hit because he hardly ever wants to slide. He is an exciting player and if the Ravens get a good o-line around him who knows. Not entirely sold yet but I do love a running offense that controls the clock... definitely works well with a defense that doesn't allow much

Eh, that makes him sound like Tebow, when I find he has quite a bit more zip and accuracy than that. There are moments where he looks like he has an awkward release, which may be down to his throwing mechanics. This was probably his biggest QB question mark coming out of college, because he set his feet oddly and threw more with his arm than his legs (not setting his feet correctly or at all). Nevertheless, I completely agree on him taking far too many hits. This is a spot where he could get some good tutelage from Kaepernick, who seemed to slide and avoid hits whenever he could.

I played a couple of them and this happened to me as well. I don't really mind some items that much but the options for them as far as I can tell are terrible. I wound up doing one that was like only Pokeballs, Assist Trophies and Smash Balls, basically all the most game-breaking ones

I've honestly been getting nothing but good matches online. My settings are

1v1
3 stock
7 minutes
No items
Battlefield stages

And that's largely what I've gotten, give or take a Final Destination here and there. I haven't had any matches with items on in a while now. So maybe try those settings too (unless you want FFA, in which case I can't help)

I'm too scared of being exposed in 1v1, not that I'm that good in FFA. My goal is usually just to not finish last and I am decent at that, but I rarely win (in my very small sample size).

Honestly with how many character unlocks there are I'd rather just grind away at that for a while since shit like lag makes online pretty annoying regardless.

Unlocked everyone in smash so I can stop playing it. Jesus, you'd think at the very bottom of online there'd be normal people, but no, even at fucking 30,000 GSP I get fucking dumpstered. Fuck smash.

I don't think I even have half of the characters unlocked yet. Like I sort of said before all that single-player stuff just makes me want to play Melee. I think that was really the sweet spot, it felt so much bigger than the first game, but it wasn't so crazy that they couldn't make fun event matches or stuff like break the targets unique to each character. Every game after that it's kinda like there's too much content and I don't care about most of it. I need to do more with the Spirits but it looks like it's trying to incorporate RPG elements when I'd be fine if it was just a more pure adventure mode.

I read a post on here that said something to the effect of Sakurai saying the next Smash game is going to be some kind of reboot that takes it more back to basics instead of just continuing to add shit. I don't know if it's true but could be a decent idea

I think I'm better with Samus than Dark Samus, which is interesting because they're basically the same fucking character

I think they might literally be exactly the same. Samus has fire and D Samus has electric, but that doesn't really change anything. It changes damage to Pikmin but that might be it, except maybe electric has like an extra frame of stun or something. I don't actually know

He said he doesn't think they'll be able to get every character back again after this, but that doesn't mean there won't still be 60+ next time

Interesting. I don't know if that has any gameplay significance but it's something at least. Richter and Simon seem to be absolutely identical except Simon has red holy water and Richter's is blue.

I'll say this, I'm not a Samus fan in Smash, but Dark Samus does "feel" slightly different even if she's not technically different because of the difference in animations.

In my peripheral vision, I keep seeing an icon in the top right of the screen and thinking it's a PM notification, but when I look over, I see it's just the new trophy icon. I wish there was a way to hide it.

Any time I've played a fighting game online, I get absolutely destroyed to the point that it isnt fun. I can hold my own in shooters though
