If the only people you ran into on a daily basis outside of your family, friends, and maybe a few coworkers, was violent or otherwise criminal garbage, wouldn't you believe the training? If the official investigation didn't find anything wrong with the cop's conduct, I'm willing to accept that. The swatter, on the other hand, should be literally crucified.
