Nekomono was the last part I watched of the series and all I remember about it is long scenes of Hanekawa in only underwear explaining stuff. I think around that time I had a good feeling of what anime I would or wouldnt like so I just dropped anything I wasnt enjoying and didnt even give a shot to anything that sounded like I wouldnt like it. Its been going pretty well

wasn't the next topic technically #200 since we had a purged topic a few years back?

I can't believe we're only at 200 topics, seems forever since I joined. The airing anime I wanted to talk about when joining this topic was Sankarea. XFD I gave that thing a 7/10.

Also note that it was Shinobu who saved Hanekawa, both in Neko Black and Tsubasa Cat. Araragi hasn't really saved anyone himself so far.

I find the stuff with Araragi and Hachikuji to be hilarious every time for some reason. Maybe just because of how ridiculously over the top it is? I dunno. <_<

Pretty much every Monogatari makeover is bad, unfortunately. There are a couple good ones, but they're the exceptions, not the rule.

Fall Anime Write-ups Day 4

SSSS.Gridman - Trigger colab with some other place I dont recognize. Oh boy another show with a main character who has amnesia. Apparently this is based on a live action early 90s series. Ill be checking it out because Trigger and the art looks pretty nice.

Irozuku Sekai no Ashita kara - PA Works presents an anime original about a 17 year old girl who lost her sense of color at an early age and grew up lacking emotion who gets thrown back in time by her grandma to the period of time where her grandma was 17 so our heroine can get good feels hanging out with her young grandma and her club friends. Its probably hoping to be an emotional feel good anime, but I dont know if I trust PA Works to pull off a good original when so many of their others have been bad. I mean the last good thing they did in general was Tari Tari.

Bunny Girl Senpai - didnt feel like typing out the whole title for this one. It sounds really stupid and apparently its by the people who did Sakurasou which also sucked. Definitely passing on this one.

Fall Anime Bonus Write-ups

Dragon Ball Super: Broly movie - I think its awesome theyre revisiting Broly and actually making him part of the canon this time. Hes always been immensely popular and he will likely push Goku and/or Vegeta to a newer level of power. Its gonna be the anime debut of a new form for Vegeta that has been in the Super manga for a while now. What Im most curious about is what stupid reason they will come up with for how Broly is so insanely powerful. Hoping they dont copy the baby Goku crying bullshit from the original movie.

The biggest downsides to this movie over the original though are the lack of Future Trunks and all of the promotional material suggesting Gohan wont even be part of this despite starring in the other Broly movies.

Eureka 7 movie trilogy - dear god why? Why couldnt they just leave the series with the original? The AO anime was so terrible I dont know if I even have any interest in seeing this prequel to the original anime series.

K movies - you guys remember this series where the best part was the lead girl being naked? This somehow has 6 movies lined up holy shit why. It didnt even seem like anybody liked the show.

It has some funny stuff in the moment (my favorite was when she scurried up a telephone pole and her hair began fraying around her like an angry monstrous aura (exactly like Nino did in Arakawa once, now that I think about it. I wonder if that was a purposeful reference)). I still don't like the concept though. It got better when Hachikuji revealed that she really didn't mind, but Araragi didn't know that when he was first doing it!

I mean I dont remember all of them and Roba hasnt gotten to some of them, but the ones I saw and you guys showed me before all looked better other than Suruga who apparently peaked in Nise design wise

This is the only correct Monogatari swordz9opinion. However Senjou gets horrible short hair in Second Season, but she looks amazing after Koi.

I forgot to post about it earlier, but I watched the two available episodes of Frankenstein Family (that monster people anime from last season Crunchyroll finally picked up). I like the concept and the animation style but the actual content seems mediocre so far. I'm not sure what theme it's going for, it keeps bouncing between 'conformity is good' and 'be yourself'. 1/3 of each episode has been weird live-action segments with the voice actors, too, but I've been skipping those.

What I really want to know, though, is who came up with that lame title. At one point they even said Creature Family Days in plain Engrish. Why not just use that.

Honestly I had no idea Yuri on Ice was THAT big. Like I knew it did well, but not that well. Thats nuts. It takes until Titan at 12th to reach something I watched and liked.

I'm legitimately shocked to hear Granblue Fantasy sold that well, personally.

I don't think I heard anything about it that wasn't negative.

Also why is Love Live s1 so low even though S2 and both seasons of Sunshine are top 15? Seems silly <_<

The Granblue DVDs came with codes for free characters in the game. It's cheaper to buy them than it is to to buy in-game currency.

The dev put Granblue codes in the Uma Musume discs too, which caused the numbers to skyrocket (though not quite to the same levels).

LL S1 didn't come with event raffle tickets. People buy discs for the bonuses usually, not to watch the show.

I don't recall anything from Season 1, but Season 2 and I believe both seasons of Sunshine had raffle tickets for the live concerts included in the BDs, thus inflating the amount since there are people who buy for raffle and there then are those who buy multiple copies to get more tries.

Likewise Granblue Fantasy had something included for the game I think, so that's why it's high as well.
