Been rewatching Erased; still love it. And going through the Delvool Trench in Gravity Rush 2, but I'm stuck on the 18th level.

Boku no Hero Academia s3 is so close I can almost taste it. Debating on whether or not I want to rewatch s1 and s2 before diving into s3.

Started to play Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Red Rescue Team. Did the quiz at the beginning and rolled Machop which, before playing Pokemon Go and starting to like the Machop family, I probably would have answered differently for something else.

Can't remember what Pokemon my character was in PMD: Explorers of... well, one of the DS games. I think I might have been a Charmander and partnered with a Bulbasaur or vice versa. Wound up partnering with a Bulbasaur again because, well, Bulbasaur



The set-up, etc, between the two games is so similar that I half-wondered if I'd already played it, but I guess that's just part of the general formula.

Hmm. I have Blue Rescue Team on hand, but I don't think I ever grabbed the Red (GBA) version. I remember there being a bug if you used the two of 'em together.

Is it really almost time for the fall anime season? Time certainly goes by quickly.

I don't know why I never played the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon games before. I like Pokemon, I like roguelikes, I've even played other Mystery Dungeon games before (Shiren, Etrian).

Id say just watch s3 unless you are rewatching with friend.
They tend to remind you plenty what happened in flashbacks.

I'm assuming that was referring to Academia.

Looking at the episode list, it looks like the latest episode just introduced Mirio. You guys are gonna love him.

I finally got through the Frieza arc of Super, so from here on out its uncharted territory for me.

We know Gohan doesn't keep up with his training as he gets older, but it's pretty messed up that he didn't get any chance to shine at all. He was still the third strongest Z Fighter at the time. Just like with Majin/Super Buu, he only got to dominate the enemy for an instant before they powered up and curbstomped him.

Once upon a time, Gohan was supposed to be the successor to his father as the strongest character in the Dragon Ball universe, but, after the Cell Saga, the series dropped that and had him become a husband and father instead. Which Goku was able to do while still being a fighter. ... Then again, Goku was never exactly a model husband or father.

Technically Chi Chi is to blame. Gohan never liked fighting and only did it when necessary to defend. His gentle nature is most likely due to his human half.

Now that I think about it, that's really one of the only differences between Goku and Gohan. The only thing that causes Goku to be a shitty parent or husband is whenever the situation is related to fighting.

I feel like Gohan's issue is more about self doubt rather than his gentle nature. Cause he never really gets the chance to even fight. Then when he does, his self doubt is what holds him back, not his gentle nature.

I tried watching super but I could not get into it at all. I was hoping nostalgia for DBZ would carry me till I was invested but it didn't.

Unrelated to that, I'm finishing up grand blue now that the seasons over (on ep 10 right now). I really like the OP. It just gets me in a good mood. The visuals of the nice blue ocean and cute girls along with the song itself just work, at least for me. The show itself did get a little stale but its still enjoyable.I watched some of the demon king slave thing (can't remember name) a while back and ran out of episodes. Not sure if I'll finish it or not. Looking forward to finishing up my hero acadamia and watching all of overlord S3. I'm not super hyped about any of those but they should be worth the watch time.

Started on my Overlord rewatch, so I can watch s3. Almost done with s1.

I watched up to the end of the Black Saga of Super. Filler episodes started, I stopped and just haven't picked it back up yet. Is it complete? If it's complete, I might start it back up sometime.

I had also stopped watching it for a while during the Frieza arc cause I found that to be stupid.

Finished grand blue. I'm sad its over. It did a good job of cheering me up and then encouraging me to drink too much so I'd end up depressed again.

I've got overlord S3 up next unless I want to finish the slave demon lord thing first. I really need to get in the mood to get some work done though. Hopefully I'll manage.

I'm on s2 of Overlord. I was kinda lost the first time I watched it, so hopefully I like it better after having just rewatched s1. I do really enjoy the lizardman romance part though, it's rather amusing.

Cell saga was good, and had a good ending. I still like to pretend that the series ended there and Gohan didn't grow up to be a dork.

Nah, Cell ending was what all of the second half of Dragonball Z was building to. The handing over of the mantle to Gohan. Then the story went on further and shit all over it.

Finished up Overlord s3, it was good. Liked it better than s2, maybe more than s1 even. Really hope they keep doing seasons of Overlord. The goblin army hax part was great.

Was going through my stuff (mentioned that I'm trying to catalog my games, movies, etc, in another topic) and found my copy of Record of the Lodoss War, which I really need to watch at some point >_> Picked it up over 10 years ago, I think, and first watched part of the series back in the 90s when it ran on the Scifi Channel, which is also where I first saw Zeiram: The Animation, Green Legend Ran, and a bunch of other titles that I guess may have since fallen into obscurity. I guess Galaxy Express 999 isn't that obscure, though.

Except that "second half" was as necessary as the "final third" of DBZ-- it didn't really add much of anything and just made shit more confusing. Frankly, the Buu Saga made more sense than the Cell Saga's time-traveling nonsense.

And it's weird that you'd complain about the story going further and shitting on things when that's *exactly* what the Cell Saga did.

I would have been better if Gohan actually handled the mantle. Once again, it's all ChiChi's fault. I don't even usually like Gohan, but Mystic Gohan was awesome and then disappointing...

Personally for me S2 is the best, cant decide between S1 and S3.

Excluding the final two episodes I have finished S3 but I think the Goblin hax was supposed to be more of an item that had a hidden prerequisite for summoning the Goblin army that Ains himself had never managed to meet.

The lizardman love plot was super adorable in s2, but I still think it's the weakest season. I did like the hidden effect aspect of the goblin horn. Hopefully they'll find some others in the future. I'm wondering if they're gearing up for Ains/Nazarick to eventually be defeated, or actually let him achieve world domination. I really hope they keep making seasons of Overlord.

I'm watching S3 right now. Very tempted to read the spoiler text but I should be patient. It is interesting how this anime has gone from somewhat generic isekai into clearly its own thing. It far exceeded my original expectations which were pretty low to be fair.

Shouldn't matter how surprised someone is. When you have rock hard skin or super strength surprise won't bypass that. I could do a surprise punch to Mike Tyson but that wouldn't hurt him.

Both Deku and Kirishima's abilities need to actually be activated for them to use it to defend themselves. So yeah, being taken by surprise would definitely work.

It's been a while since I've read that chapter, but I'm pretty sure neither of them were actively defending against his attacks. And Deku's strength doesn't actually make him more durable (which is really his biggest weakness)

I talked about it irl and its possible he could punch through their insides since he permeates through things. We don't know his affect on the things he permeates through.

Unrelated to this: I finished Final Fantasy Tactics final boss one shotted my whole team twice. The story wasnt that great but good gameplay. 7/10
