I haven't had time to watch the latest Banana Fish episode yet but the one before that (episode 6) was really bad and saw it drop a little in my ranking as well.

Like, Ash already has a grim backstory, they didn't need to make it even more hilariously awful with that terrible father. "Son, if a strange man ever tries to do things to you, just let it happen and charge him money and I'll call you a manwhore forever" uhhh. Then the dad's girlfriend died and he didn't care. I guess I just really hated the dad so I'm hoping this dip in quality will be a one episode anomaly.

So, I read through two Volumes of Junji Ito's Tomie. Junji Ito is a god. So unsettling. Tomie is an awesome character. As horrible as she is, you can't help but love her. Of all the Junji Ito stuff I've read, Tomie is the best.

Kind of wanna watch the Live Action Tomie movies, but I'm afraid because, well, Japanese Live Action adaptations of anime and manga aren't exactly the best.

All adaptations of Junji Ito's work are worthless.

I never watched the Junji Ito anime. Was gonna, I think it would be great in animation. But. I just don't know if they can accurately animate his artsyle.

But I love Tomie enough that I wanna go in on the movies.

I've never read anything from Junji Ito, but I watched the anime. There were a few segments that I could tell were good ideas but the anime was all just so low budget and poorly put together that it didn't work.

You should read some of his stuff. They're all really short, his longest is either Tomie or Uzumaki. And they both aren't that long.

I read Uzumaki, which was solid. Think I read something else too.

A lot of adaptations worked out well though. GTO, Rookies, Hana Yori Dango, Ouroboros, NigeHaji etc.

I wouldn't even say its an exception to the rule for adaptations to work out well in Live Action format.

These kinds of J Dramas have had some really high ratings locally, but we haven't gotten to see a lot of them.

Cells At Work ep6 - oh man that red blood cell flashback was adorable. Surprised I didnt see LtM raving about the new BUFF WAIFU the show introduced. Actually I dont really see people talking about this show at all lately aside from myself. It get mentioned in rankings, but thats about it

In terms of just muscles few female characters probably beat Kale. I mean shes literally Broly with boobs...well non-canon Broly with boobs since she looks nothing like the new canon Broly.

For muscles in general I dont think a single series beats Toriko. There are guys in that who are so muscular they are literally the size of multiple Broly

Chios School Road ep7 - XFD this was fucking hilarious from start to finish. It just kept getting funnier the whole time too. I love this show



Just learned the creator of this makes hentai too. In fact it looks like Chio is his only non-hentai series so suddenly the ecchi makes sense.
