so i just started playing this. i managed to re-roll for swimsuit Saber (Archuria, as she seems to be called), and also got the featured 5* craft essence (500 atk, start with 50% NP and some other stuff). was doing dailies when maintenance started; i did all the level 5-10 dailies plus the level 25 exp one. nothing past the tutorial in terms of story.

unfortunately my free 4* was Archer, so with all these lances i have to face i've been using Kiyohime as my second character. i got her to level 13 and Archuria to level 20.

any chance i'll be able to max out Chloe from the upcoming event? though i guess she wouldn't really be needed, having Archuria.

they fill the same niche, yeah, so she's relatively unnecessary for you. It'll be pretty rough clearing enough to unlock her I think because you also have to raise her to her third ascension. If you use good friends characters and a lot of determination maybe, but it won't be easy

I don't think you have to get her to third ascension to max her out, that's just for some other rewards. Looks like the most difficult one might be "Clear 90 Missions" (there are 100 I think). It'll depend on if you get some good Supports and figure out how to use them effectively.

There's a document in the first post that has our friend codes. I especially recommend friending Lopen since he'll probably get Ilya, and Saphir since he has Medb, and those'll be the two most useful Servants this event (though lots of others will be useful too. Different Servants are useful on every node!).

I have 822(ish?) Quartz and 40 (41?) Tickets to spend.

I don't spend on this game aside from the guaranteed 5* draws cause the gacha is garbage

Also because there aren't many 5*s I actually give a crap about (hence part of the reason I have so much saved)

I haven't done a quartz draw since like December I think (when Scathach came out). So about that long to get that much quartz (note I didn't quite zero on Scathach think I had 30-60 quartz left). Tickets I save less of because my religion requires me to use 6 Tickets on any banner I don't completely hate so no real idea on how quickly tickets are saved.

You'll probably be able to save enough for a 50/50 shot or so, I think. Depending on how much of the story you do. There might be a 1/2 AP story quests coming up soonish, which would help you finish that.

don't know if I have anyone here on my friends list but I'm wondering what would generally be a more useful support setup for people

I got Fran recently, and I'm figuring having a Kaleidoscope with her in the berserker support slot would be useful for grinding once she's leveled. I also have a NP2 Vlad and a NP3 Herc that's close-ish to his bond CE (100k or so away). Which would be better to have in the all support slot usually?

though i want to get a better idea if i like the game enough first. and i guess it isn't really necessary when i basically just want two more 5*s and some 4*s. the one account i was looking at did come with a bunch of quartz, though, which would help get Tamamo as i don't see any more rate-ups for her ever after the upcoming one.

So I've been playing around with the gamepress summon simulator. When I simulate summons with Quartz I seem to get way more of each of the 3 4* focuses compared to Ilya despite their rates actually being identical (due to there being 3 4*s). If I change it over to tickets it's closer to what I expect.

Is this a window into how multisummon guaranteed 4*s work? Is the simulator just broken? Is that actually known or is the simulator speculating?

AFAIK they've done tests and the summon rate for 4/5* Servants is basically identical whether you do multis or singles.

The data apparently suggests that if you do a 10x Quartz roll, the game determines each result randomly, and then if you don't get any 4*s, it will try to change a 3* CE to a 4* CE. I don't know if gamepress's simulator is based on that assumption though.

Haha, man, so few people on my friends list have event CEs compared to all the recent events. Guess summer really cleared everyone out! Speaking of which, I made one last desperate attempt at Archuria and did single pulls to zero out my quartz... didn't get her, but I did get NP2 Punch Saint! Actually pretty happy about that, I like her a lot.

Now time to be frugal and start saving for Merlin, him and Gramps back to back is going to be painful. X_X

I'll be taking screenshots of my draws too though so you can get non-live suffering as well.

I'm not really a habitual streamer so don't expect much beyond watching bad draws go at the slowest rate possible (I took so long to save this quartz I'm watching every goddamn animation) and maybe some shouting at Orion when I get her somehow, particularly since it's a work night so I can't get drunk.

Overall I wasn't wowed or disappointed with it. I really wanted 3 though. Ilya is unlikely to get grails without NP3 at least (or until I've gotten all the 3*/4*s I wanna get to 90 to 90). I'll probably dump all the resources I get into the banner until it rotates out (I wouldn't mind NP5 Medea Lily either), then back to saving.
