I haven't seen it posted in here outside of the link to the event guide, but Stars and Crystals EX is the best node for farming feathers in the history of the game AND it drops all three event currencies. So if you're done with the event (which you should be if you've been keeping up with your AP) then the best thing to do is just spam that node to holy hell until the event is done and reap the benefits.~

Man these interludes take a lot of real time. First time all week I've gone full bore on them and I've been emptying my stamina bar for over an hour now. I'll still take em over strengthening quests every time though the extra story for side servants is nice.

Tossed 5 tickets on the lancer banner and 5 on caster banner this week for funsies and to get Gilles. Didn't get anything on the lancer banner but pulled Tamamo surprisingly. Pretty much going to save quartz/tickets for the Hassan and Shinjuku banners now.

Didn't pull Gille tho. no arguably worst servant in the game for me

Well the interludes aren't very good from what I've seen.

They're kinda mixed to be sure (a lot of them basically read as "let's make an excuse to have a fight 3 times" but those are shorter too) but most of them are roughly on par with the game's writing imo.

Granted the writing has stepped up more recently so the earlier ones aren't going to be as good on average but yeah.

Ascending once and Bond Level 3 unlocks like 95% of them, so I try to just do that with every new servant I get.

I have every servant I got at bond 5+ and ascended at least once and still have some like Beowulf and Stheno requiring more than that.

Yeah, I bond 5 everyone. Not too many Servants require multiple ascensions to do Interludes, though there are a few. I've done all of those though.

Yeah 95% was a bit high.

It's more like 75%. I just got lucky with a lot of the more demanding ones as they were often servants I'd already leveled for some other reason.

So it seems like people are planning to go wild with apples for the Nerofest lotto. Why that and not save for Christmas? I don't have that many apples and want to choose my battles, but the Christmas lotto seems a lot more appealing with the skill gems.

I'd spend as many apples as you can bear to spend on the Nerofest lotto. You'll get a lot between now and Christmas.

Trust me in general you get a lot more apples than you expect, and spending them down takes a lot more effort than you'd expect. I have a really hard time keeping my apple supply down and I spent a ton last Christmas.

I have almost 200 gold apples. It should be fine if I use a lot of them here, and I probably won't have the time to use them all.

Christmas is definitely better, and you won't get unlimited apples between now and then. Someone calculated out that we'll get 56 Gold Apples between the end of Nerofest and Christmas (Nerofest itself will give us 15 plus a bunch of silver/bronze).

There are a couple reasons to use a lot of your Apples now though:

1. It's hard to spend over 100 Apples on a single event. That's a lot of real time.

2. The boxes have Medals and Chains, which are annoying to farm for Servants who need them. Tons of Servants use Chains in particular (and all the Servants who use Medals use assloads of them), so it's nice to be able to get them here. Likewise the Ghost Lanterns and Gears, if you need those.

3. It's better to get tons of XP and QP now rather than later, since you probably have Servants you want to use them on. :p Plus it's nice to split the rewards over two events, so that you'll have more room left for leftover XP for future Servants, and more ability to use them on the Servants you do have.

4. The most optimal nodes are available right at the start of Nerofest, whereas they're locked until the second half of Christmas, so you have more ability to spread it out here. This is nice for sanity reasons.

Again, Christmas boxes are definitely better, so spend as many Apples as you can there. But there's definitely good reason to spend a bunch here, too.
