The only real fix is no vote updates or requiring an account to vote. I actually don't mind the latter, since it's the best of both worlds. No vote updates (not even percentages or Geolocation results) beyond the first 5 minutes would be a good idea to limit rallying, since other sites are less likely to rally if they can't directly observe the impact of their rallying attempts. You could even put random waiting time between matches so that you would never know when the new match would start.
