All these are factors that can help to predict a potential rally, and it's all just interpretation of stats - just different stats to what you're used to. Mario 64 and SSBM got roughly the same final percentage against Undertale. SSBM rallied liked crazy. Mario 64 just threw up a white flag at the start of the match. --- This was not the best year for my bracket. As it stands now with matches being worth 2^r points in round r you could do very well with an otherwise terrible bracket if you called the rally correctly.
