and yeah 400 orbs to get the unit you want, gotta feel bittersweet. i actually played around with the summon simulator for this banner and it took over 4400 to get 11 copies, which is just insane.

the totals after 4475 orbs were

Green was too good for me to pass on, even though I don't have a HUGE need for Steady Breath right now and I get the feeling it may get totally outclassed sooner rather than later. Blew a good 250 to get a +Def/-Res L!Hector and 3 B!Ikes.

I honestly was hoping for Myrrh merges moreso and I really don't need yet another Axe Armor, but at least the IVs aren't horrid for the Hector (even if Res is a superbane for him). I think with having his Tactics Pulse C Skill, he'll make experimenting with a more dedicated mixed Armor/Flier team worth trying, especially with all the Flying Formation/Guidance skills, seals and weapon refines they keep pushing right now.

Yeah, if I didn't have two Ikes banked, it would have been hard to pass on. Myrrh might be the 5* exclusive that I want to merge most, but I don't have the desire to go all in with 1000 orbs on that. And this wouldn't be the banner for it in any case.

For some reason, it didn't register to me that I could fly over the wall and didn't have to use the stairs on this Hector map. It became a lot easier once I realized that. Myrrh is supreme again. NY Camilla pulled her weight too.

i tried some other parties but in the end i had to go back to that party as well (with Azura and Corrin). starting with Myrrh on top of the wall on the right to avoid the reds

Holy shit, this banner has been GOLD for me. I think I spent less than 50 orbs and got the following:

+Spd/-Def FGrima
+Atk/-Spd BIke (my second one)
+Res/-HP Myrrh (my second one)
+Res/-Atk Hector

I got everything I wanted and more with barely any orbs spent!! I finally gave my other BIke with bad nature to Nowi, now just need to upgrade Chrom to give her Aether. Should I go back in and try to get another Hector with better nature? I'm expecting the answer to be no since sniping on these banners is awful

You may want to save him because he's the only one who can pass Warding Breath, but other than that, you can merge him at Lv 1. It is, however, more efficient to train up a Lv 1 and pass a skill to that copy and then merge into your main to quickly learn skills

Nah that was KP. I think non +Atk/+Spd boons are underrated in general, but haven't actually analyzed Ike's options much because for me he's just filler anyway. I can see an argument for running neutral on Ike but it's going to depend on what you want him for.

I'm still waiting to get another VIke so I can merge my +Atk/-Spd one into the neutral. +Atk is nice, but it's true it reduces his healing potential and he doesn't want to cuck his Spd

Nice, I got Leif from my free pull (-Att of course, but still neat), and then I got a Brave Ike when I did a 20 pull. My Laslow has been waiting for Steady Breath for a very long time! Now I'm trying to decide if I should use the Steady Breath to make him an over the top physical megatank or if I should sacrifice some of his bulk so that he can nuke fools with Ignis. I'm leaning towards the former for now, but I might end up changing my mind.

I like neutral on Vanguard Ike because all of his banes cripple him more than any boon would benefit. He wants all his HP, Def, and Res so he can tank hits. He wants a moderate amount of speed so he can avoid being doubled by a good number of enemies. He wants Atk because hitting things is important.

I used to have a +Atk/-HP, and a +Atk/-Spd. Both of them sucked. His HP superbane made him die so much more often and the lack of Spd made him be doubled a lot more. I merged them into the neutral free one we all got and I haven't regretted it.

I feel like +Spd would still be a general positive for him (because preventing doubles probably gives him more matchups he can survive than do 3-4 points of HP/Def/Res) but would have to run the numbers to be sure.

I think part of the problem with +Atk/-HP and +Atk/-Spd is he honestly doesn't need Atk that much. You're building him to take a hit and respond with Radiant Aether, which will already defeat most opponents (that aren't, like, blues I guess, but many of those will KO him first, especially with a non-Atk bane). More Atk doesn't give you enough more KOs to care. It helps more if you use him as a player phase unit more I suppose, but his standard breath/QR build is very enemy phase-focused.

How weird they decided to reveal half of the cast for VG... I got Tailtiu as my free summon, and she's always nice fodder to get for Drive Spd, but I kind of regret not making space in my barracks for another summon because there was another blue orb and I'm hunting for Nowi's

The art itself doesn't tell you? :P

She is good. You can build her as purely offensive, purely defensive, or mixed. Since she is a dragon and a flier, she can take advantage of dragon/flier buffs, but they won't stack on top of each other

I'm happy I finally got her and with good IV's. I'm building her as purely offensive since she is the only dragon so far that can do that

They are two of the most common units that people like to merge up, so having more copies gives you options there.

For Tiki, you want -Spd +Def or Atk ideally. +Res can also be good but is less popular.
Nowi is a little more flexible. I've seen people work with speed boon or speed bane for her.

+6 Def/Res isn't useful?

Even if you like Roy, there isn't a reason to use him over Bow Lyn. You're better off waiting until Brave Roy comes back on a banner

On another note, Sharena's army ended with 18 areas last night. This was so unusual because the teams I'm on usually do poorly at the end

Depends on the content. For arena, it isn't needed. People usually give dragons aether and it does a decent job keeping the hp up. For maps with reinforcements or chain challenges, a healer will do more for you

It's good to have a wide array of characters/teams available. Unless your one team is amazingly good, it's really helpful to be able to substitute in different parts for specific tough Grand Hero Battles (and other similar one-shot infernal fights). And then Arena Assault/Chain Challenge/Squad Assault all directly call for lots of PCs.

Of course that can be a pretty long-term project overall.

It looks like it takes a bit under 287070 points to reach GC Tier 25. I couldn't find any information on how many points were needed so I just added up my scores as I went along. So you need 852 points per stamina lance if you never miss a single point of stamina (337 stamina lances total).

It's only a little over 7 battles a day for 6 days if you dump 8 lances at a time. If you can hit the enemy fort a few times under Infernal and stop after you reach GC Tier 25, that also reduces how much you need to play.

7 manual battles a day is a lot. They should implement a daily bonus like they do with TT. I probably could have reached max tier if I have been playing more, but that's what happens when you want to have a life

Yeah, 7 Grand Conquest battles takes quite a while if you play them manually. However, I think 20 kills under Infernal and keep your own camps is enough to get the points you need. Even auto battle can take care of that and sometimes they will even take an opponent Camp.

I like Grand Conquests but the battles go on too long and you can't influence the battle enough by yourself. Also the area bonus is so muffled it kinda doesn't matter anyway.

3 days 1 day each would be better. Also the weekly rival domains making me do 4 a week even on offseasons doesn't help.
