Everyone would lose their minds and pre-order the game without thinking. The memes would flow, and people would rush in. As for me, the evidence points towards it being a new Smash, but it would make better sense to be an updated port. Even so, I'll probably be happy with whatever the product is, so it's not like it's all that important. I don't see a problem with people hoping for it to be a new game though. Mewtwo is actually based off of Gigue from the original Mother, and Gigue is Giygas from Earthbound, and the only other villain rep is Porky and hell no. Also, I'm not seriously thinking Ridley will be added - I'm saying that if Sakurai DID add him into the game, it would amp the hype levels to extreme heights. I would love to have him in, actually, but chances are less than 1% that he would be added as a playable character. Advertising They aren't going to go mining for characters like King K. Rool when there's like...no reason to. (working title)". If it was a Smash 4 port it'd just be "Super Smash Bros for Nintendo Switch", they're not doing "working title" for a port. Also Link in the trailer is in his BotW outfit (though that alone isn't definitive, the deluxe Hyrule Warriors port is coming out soon and they added the BotW outfit to that without making a whole new game).
