I also think that churches receiving tax exemption should be audited and they need to prove no profit is being made beyond a fund for renovations, etc., with salary caps on the owners that keep pace with inflation. I don't mind a minister supporting his family reasonably if he provides a service to his followers and the community. For-profit religious organizations are exploitative and vile. The only reason they don't pay taxes stems from the amount of services they'd provide within their area. Many don't really do that anymore.
