According to those who attended the event, Jinder and Trips wrestled for nearly 30 minutes and even got a "This is awesome" chant at one point. Afterwards, the two shook hands and Trips said he respected Jinder (despite Jinder's attempt to 3-on-1 HHH during the match). Jinder tells the crowd he will be WWE Champion when he returns to India.

I just watched Wrestletalk and they talked about how things were supposed to be for the Vince Explodes storyline. It was going to be the Hornswoggle is my son storyline, but with Kennedy and him getting control of WWE, which would lead to Trips being revealed as his real life son in law and fighting for control of the company. Vince would then come back and say him and Kennedy set it all up and it would lead to Vince vs Shane

That.... sounds like I would have loved every second of it :(

What I don't get is WWE knows they have a stable that COULD make them money (or at least good TV), and they absolutely refuse to do so. How long are they going to sit on the Balor thing until they just do it? The Shield need actual opponents, rather than Miztourage level fodder. At this rate, they'll move to SD and reunite with AJ...fat lot of good that move to Raw did them.

Nah, unless you're being punished Vince is giving you ideas he thinks will get you over. New Day have even done podcasts about how much Vince pushed for the idea and it was them pushing back that he finally relented, mostly because he gave them credit for trying so hard to get the initial gimmick over.

It makes no sense for Vince to give someone a bad gimmick to fail with intentionally. Vince is already a dictator. If he wants to release someone, he can just, you know, do it. No need to sabotage his own product just so he has an "excuse" to cut some lower midcarders. He doesn't need an excuse.

On Jericho's podcast New Day was on there and they talked about how they weren't into Vince's idea and they didn't think it would get over and Jericho said that Vince must have known the crowd would had it. But they all swore up and down that Vince thought it would get over and was upset when the crowd first turned on them, because Vince believed in it so much and knew how hard the New Day tried with it.

Jericho could absolutely not believe that Vince thought it would actually get them over as baby faces and that it must have been his plan, but New Day kept saying that Vince was confident they'd get over.
