Why? Omega was never going to get a classic workrate match out of Jericho at this stage of Y2J's career. Calling it a dream match was only going to get it so far if it didn't live up to it in the ring.

Giving the match some heat and turning it into a more deliberate or violent grudge match can only help it. There's something to go on besides just novelty now.

Oh. I guess I just assumed it was cause for them to promote it as a ME and put it over IC and Tanahashi that the belt would also have to be on the line for that to make sense and NOT bury both the IC and US Title.

I mean, the winner's pretty well tipped either way. Making it a title match at least throws in the outside potential for an angle that could extend into their next show in the States.

Kenny's obviously winning either way, but the title would at least give it some doubt for some of the newer fans that might not be as familiar with the company.
