For storyline purposes, how can Shane prevent Steph from signing Zayn and Owens to Raw if he fires them from SD?

My guess is that they could refer to a few months ago, when Owens nearly killed Vince McMahon on SD. It was that show where Steph made her first appearance since WrestleMania and she was rather disgusted with Owens and his actions. If Owens/Zayn get fired from SD, no way in hell kayfabe-wise would Steph think about hiring them.

The best outcome was said earlier though: Bryan turns heel at Clash of Champions and helps Owens/Zayn win.

The problem with that is the segment Steph had with Owens and Zayn at Survivor Series (at least I think it was there) where Zayn apologized to her and Steph didnt seem pissed at Owens in the slightest.

Could she have been kissing ass so theyd turn on Smackdown? Sure, but there was nothing there that pointed at that being her endgame.

Sheamus gets a bad rap for his world title runs and the 18 second thing. Very underrated as a performer. Total physical freak, and charismatic in a bulldozer bully type of way. Was he a top guy the way WWE wanted? No, but they could have chosen far worse people to be champion...and have.

I would hope the injury gets resolved.

Apparently the Jimmy Jacobs release isn't as ridiculous as we all thought. Apparently he was in Rehab for a month before he was released and when he came back, he admits he didn't care about the job too much any longer and while he didn't really try to get fired, he never made steps to not get fired.

I got this one. When I did writeups summarizing months in wrestling from 1999 to early 2004, I found this promo and typed it word for word.

"Now last week, I was watching TV, and I watched a 53-year-old man come out here who has more loose skin than a sharpei puppy... come out here to say he's still the man! I see Ric Flair #2 The Nature Boy come out here, who's been the butt-end of all the jokes... cause he's supposed to be the limousine ridin', jet flyin' son of a gun, but I'm saying one time, you should have took a cab and used that money to fix your crooked yellow teeth!

So I had to ask myself, if WCW was going to hire the Nature Boy #2, why won't they hire The Nature Boy, the ORIGINAL Nature Boy, Buddy Rogers? Now I know that Buddy Rogers is dead, God rest his soul, but Ric Flair, your career is dead! And I know as he lays six feet under, he's still stylin' and profilin', cause when you used your little brain and stole his name, there was one thing you couldn't steal, and that was his class!

So when you walked down that aisle last week, I know I wasn't alone, cause the people at home, all they did was grab their remote, change the channel to the WWF, and watch Stone Cold, a person you and your old friends got fired from here, cause you're a jealous, old bastard!

So Ric Flair, remember this: in this wrestling business, there's never been a bigger ass kissin', butt sucking bastard in this business, but also in life, you're the biggest ass kissin', back... back stabbing, butt sucking bastard! And you belong where you're at in WCW, cause WCW SUCKS, and so do you!"

The outcome of that promo? Scott Steiner was suspended for a month with pay. Two months after said promo, Steiner opened fire on Flair once again on Thunder...

You see the last time I came out here and did an interview on you, you obviously listened because you fixed your teeth, but you're still crooked as hell! And after I did that interview, you and your old bastard friends tried to get me fired! But that doesn't surprise me none, because if you look up at the WWF, and who's being the champion up there, with the exception of one person, they've ALL come from here. But you had you and your old bastard friends ran em out so that you could be a 14-time world champion!

The champions WWF had at the time of said promo? HHH, Benoit, Eddie, Edge/Christian, Crash, Malenko. Even worse for WCW, one day after this promo was delivered, Saturn beat Crash for the Hardcore title and held it for 10 seconds. During those 10 seconds, the only active male champion that NEVER appeared in WCW was Crash Holly.

Seriously though, Scott Steiner on the mic was something to behold for both the right and wrong reasons.

I have mixed feelings on Sheamus' world title runs honestly. Hardly anyone saw his first reign coming cause he was fresh out of ECW and was still clobbering low carders before getting a match with Cena all of a sudden. Second reign was okay, but despite being WWE Champion, Sheamus was overshadowed by the Nexus angle during said reign. Supposedly Bryan had a slight injury around WrestleMania 28 and they didn't want to take the risk at the time, hence the 18 seconds. Sheamus' third reign (his longest) was not that bad, the only problem was seeing Sheamus vs. Alberto Del Rio on way too many occasions.

The only world title reign I didn't like of his was the 4th and most recent one. First off, Sheamus never should have won MITB in 2015. Then WWE ruins the whole idea of a tournament by having the winner lose the belt in 5 minutes after said tournament ends. At that point, Sheamus was just put in a bad situation with The League of Nations and feuding with Reigns. The good? A good portion of fans cheered for Reigns for at least 2 weeks when he finally took the belt off of Sheamus.

But 2 final things to end this on...
1) You're right, WWE has picked worse people to hold a World title than Sheamus. Most notably and recently Jinder, but there's definitely others too.
2) If it's the same injury as Edge and Austin, I hope nothing but the best for Sheamus. I'm still amazed Edge wrestled the types of matches he did after said injury for the final 8 years of his career.

Yeah Sheamus' last reign was just bad, but him winning the briefcase in the first place *was* bad enough.

The problem they had is they had a VERY popular potential dark horse in Neville that year...and look where he's at now. I cannot count how many potential people Vince has passed over for one reason or another. I forget who else were in that year. You could tell Sheamus was gonna win, but it was a bad idea.

Yep, that one. Another thing I questioned in mid 2015 was the IC title situation. Bray Wyatt beats Ryback at Payback; 2 weeks later, Bray isn't even considered for the IC title chamber match while Ryback is (and wins). That and I fully expected Sheamus to win that chamber since he had just returned as a heel and was getting solid heat.

Nice :D. There's always a chance for Cesaro to upset Reigns and join his partner in that feat! Otherwise off the top of my head, another person I can think of the same feat with a different stable was Edge, who won a title from every member of Evolution (WWE title from Trips, IC from Orton, WHC from Batista, and World Tag title from Flair).
