What can I say, Alabama is a fucked up place. It has some nice scenery though

I guess I should give my take on In-n-Out since I've been there countless times.

It's good. Don't let the people hype it up too much and make you think you're getting the best burger ever, or even some type of gourmet burger. It's fast food, but it's 1000x more fresh and tastier than BK or McDs and you don't have to wait around forever to get it. That's why we like it so much.

I like him but he sucks. Bust prospect who at one point looked like he could rake in the big leagues though so seems like a good guy to break out in Toronto. Not sure why he Cards did this just because it's a lame way to get rid of some infield depth

Yeah he stunk it up last year, but Toronto's middle infield is basically two thin sheets of glass. He won't have to be relied upon early. Worth a gamble.

I'm someone who doesn't follow politics, so can someone give me the rundown on the bill? Are we paying higher taxes now or what?

The world makes more sense when you accept that the GOP wants to kill people. For a long time I resisted this truth because it seemed too absurd, but this tax bill and their other ill fated attempts to repeal the affordable care act put it in stark terms. This is the end result of their Randian philosophy which gives them the moral imperative to kill poor people and finish off the middle class literally to increase their own wealth. That's hy they did it by cover of night and that's why a fucking rat like John McCain only agreed to repeal the individual mandate when it was tied into a bill about tax cuts for billionaires.

Unless you're extremely rich it's going to be bad for your taxes long term and it's going to be horrible for the deficit which they're going to make half hearted attempts to ameliorate by cutting back on social programs and public schools among other things. Welfare is probably their first target and then maybe medicaid. For school hough it's a great bill if you are a millionaire sending your kids to private school.

Even the allegedly "liberal media" pushed this narrative. Mostly after he won the election, but it's been a myth perpetuated for a long time that somehow the GOP is the party of middle class working people.

They are the odds on favorite but because of his contract and full no trade clause he can basically pick where he plays which is why the Giants and Cardinals had meetings with his people. He'd rather play for the Dodgers but they don't seem interested or are playing a long game to see if they can get him to force the Marlins into making a bad trade for him. Otherwise it's basically Cardinals or Giants and it feels like the Giants are heavily favored in the balance right now. The only thing the Cardinals can dangle in front of him is the chance to win in 2018. The Giants will likely be decent again next year but the Cardinals with Stanton would be division contenders and it's hard to project anyone beating the Dodgers next year.

Anyway it doesn't really matter. The hot stove sucks because the Stanton and Ohtani stories have stagnated so we're just saying the same shit over and over

I can't even see how the Dodgers would fit him in without trading away an outfielder of their own.

Wow, the Broncos are astonishingly bad. I thought they at least might be able to hang with a garbage team like the Dolphins. Now we know that Siemian still sucks and last week was just garbage time statpadding. It's not just the turnovers, but the Tebow-esque completion percentage.

Folks it's time for a baseball post: the Marlins have agreed in principle with the Cardinals and the Giants on a Stanton trade, and it's up to him basically to decide which trade he wouldn't veto. Good luck to all parties involved except the Marlins.
