For the sake of argument, please consider LA/Beverly Hills/Hollywood one location

I love Seattle, but glamorous is not a word I would use to describe it.

Yeah but like I don't have the experience to call it out.

Anyone who has been to Hollywood should know that it isn't that glamorous.

Seemed like I was stepping over homeless people every few yards.

LA
NYC

These seem locked in. LA has Hollywood and the OC, while NYC has those amazing Manhattan highrises. The third city is tough to pick.

Vegas - fairly normal (or a dump) outside the Strip, but the Strip itself is unlike anything the rest of the county has to offer. If you hit the strip on a Friday night, you will see men in slacks and collared shirts, and women in skimpy cocktail dresses.

New Orleans - looks completely unique but it smells the way I envision a pirate ship would. Those small streets in the French Quarter smelled so rancid.

Miami - only one I haven't visited. I might put in the Top 3 for reputation alone, but I'm leaning toward Vegas (though that could just be resident bias).

So when we tall about LA, we mention every every city in the surrounding area and count them all as the same. Oh and then we forget to include the dumps that intertwine them all?

I listed 3 cities that went bankrupt. Heh

Scottsdale! I doubt that place has one.

My point though of LA was that we are counting like 30 different cities as one city.

And when we talk about OC, we're not even talking about the same county that LA is in anymore. It's the same metro area (even though people that live in OC hate to admit it), but technically not LA.

With that said, the City of LA is still massive. And includes Hollywood, which is not a city but a neighborhood in LA.

It's shit. North's a dump, and the south side is basically warzone.

Chicago is a delightful city but no one would call it glamorous because it's so resolutely blue-collar, midwestern

Stepping into this topic made me realize I have a very different definition of glamourous than a lot of people here. I think Vegas is about as unglamourous as a city can get, while New York was my immediate thought upon entering the thread, thanks to things like Broadway and its amazing museums.
