Never mind, Devilsaur Hunter has been really good to me. Hit 15 and it's undefeated so far this month, probably the earliest I've ever hit 15. It shouldn't have even taken that long because I switched to Warlock twice and instantly broke my winning streak, and lost a game this morning as Shaman with 30 overload cards in my deck because I once again forgot what I was playing and didn't switch to casual.

Which means that I now have almost an entire month to play nothing but junk. Big Useless Shaman, here I come!

I've done four of these things now, and my record is 1-1-2-1. So I'm not exactly swimming in packs either. My strategy of 'go with the guy you've heard of' hasn't worked out that well for me.

I dont know why thats surprising. Some priest lists like the one Im running has a lot of potential cycle. At times against like warlock I actually have to manage my card draw to not fatigue first.

Aggro Druid is actually pretty fun now and definitely viable even without innervate, you just go full tokens instead of trying to highroll with fledglings and such

Maybe Zoo? There's a lot of refinement going on in that deck, between Keleseth, cheap minions and demons, and even Gul'dan to refill the board during the late game and even provide doomguards to push the opponent.

I spent about 3 hours tonight seeing how viable a good ol' Blackrock Mountain-centric Dragon Priest would work out in Wild these days, and the more I tweaked and got ideas, the more success I found, much to my surprise. So much so that by the time I settled on a final, real gameplan for the deck, I ended up 14-3 from then on out in mid-to-lower level play. I started the day earlier at Rank 18 and am now Rank 12.

Here's what I came up with:

So there are two very basic, separate gameplans with this deck.

1. Against aggro, you have a plethora of minions with low attack and high health to trade with and hope to eventually stop the bleeding with huge Divine Spirit'd taunts.

2. Against control, you use continuous dangerous and slightly overstat'd minions to continue to apply pressure and force inefficient board clears until you can chip away and/or get just one minion to stick when you finally procure a good enough combo with Inner Fire to finish them off.

In either scenario, Shadow Visions is possibly the best card in the deck. With only 5 different spells, you have only a 20% chance of whiffing on whatever spell you're after, and that's only if you haven't drawn out on any of them. Therefore, against aggro, if you're coming up on turn 6 and don't see the super-helpful Dragonfire Potion in your hand, just go get another one! Against control and you have both Divine Spirits, but that Inner Fire is sitting at the bottom? Not anymore, it's not!

I did fairly well against Jades and Handlock, and am currently undefeated against Raza Priest, Aggro Druid, Token Shaman, Aggro Druid, Mages*, Midrange Hunter, and Secret Paladin.

*I didn't run into any plain Tempo Mages, but I did beat the Secret Mage and random Mech Mage I came across. As for the two Freeze Mages, during the first go-around with this deck, I specifically wanted to shatter their dreams with a Secret Eater included, but I didn't come across them nearly enough to justify it, so I dropped it. Funnily enough, I lost the first time, and won the second, so I'm counting this version as undefeated still!

Quick sidenote: the aggro druid game was hilarious, because just after I thought I'd stabilized, he played minions until he had 6 of them out and Souls of the Forest'd them. Then I proceeded to buff my Twilight Guardian to 26 health and he conceded.

Finally, I would like to share with you my most satisfying game against a Handlock. I had first turn, but my earliest play in my starting hand was either Brann or Talonpriest, with a Divine Spirit on the side. I pass.
He has a Turn 1 Mistress.

I draw a Cleric. I suddenly have a decision to make. If he doesn't have a way to deal with it, I can Talonpriest it next turn. Even if he does, I think my Brann is good to go. I play Cleric.
He Darkbombs the Cleric.

I play Brann and await his fate.
He plays Imp Gang Boss.

Over the last two turns I have gathered both Operatives in my hand. This is about to get reeeeeal ugly. Brann now has 8 health after killing the Mistress.
He's stuck. He has no idea what to do with this so he taps for future answers and runs the IGB into the Talonpriest.

Drakonid Op finds me a Twilight Drake and a Blastcrystal Potion. I can see Twisting Nether as an option once, so that is likely not coming on Turn 8. It would turn out this game wouldn't even make it that far. I ignore his dumb IGB and begin the beatdown.
He knows he's screwed. He Kazakus's for I assume 5 and Coin->Doomsayers to try and buy a turn.

I draw a Shadow Visions. I'm having too much fun, though, so I play out the Twilight Drake and heal up the Brann for the finishing blow.
I have no idea what his potion got, but it was apparently not very helpful because all he has is tap->Voidcaller.

Shadow Visions grabs the Inner Fire and a 20/20 Brann settles the game.

It really isn't. Making something worth a bunch of money doesn't automatically mean skill is involved.

And yet the same players consistently performing better than any other players tells you that it isn't truly random.

Not to take away from your success, but keep in mind that the lower ranks of wild are often comprised of people dabbling with deck ideas or trying to complete quests.

Anyway, inner fire, divine spirit, and shadow visions in dragons, huh? Probably works well, but in my experience the biggest weakness of dragon priest is that it eventually gets topdeck dependent since you eventually run out of cards in hand, which makes your dragon synergies dicey. I would think adding a combo priest element would make that more pronounced. However, during MSoG, my pet jade rogue deck would lose almost across the board to dragon priest, and it had decent match-ups against just about everything else, so I certainly know how well this deck can do if it simply curves well.

Ugh just had the most frustrating Mage v Mage match. He was playing elemental mage and I ended up popping him at 3 instead of 2 because I was stupid and wasn't thinking. He played Geddon the next turn and healed up to 15 and then I popped him at 3 AGAIN because I'm an idiot.

Ended up losing because he generated a 3rd ice block. NO SKILL GAME RNG LOSS 100% WOULD HAVE WON OTHERWISE.

The game before that I played 5 ice blocks against a Priest oops whoops all skill here.

I only had two games come down to me running out of cards in hand. One was my single loss against a Jade Druid who completely destroyed me with a surprise Deathwing when he was about to lose, and I had to throw everything in my hand back out to contest it. The other was a matchup with Token Shaman, where I was forced to play all my small minions instead of my big ones so I could continue to whittle down his tokens more effectively, but I won because of it.

Netherspites and Operatives are wonderful hand-fillers, even without Brann. I end most games with at least one 8-10 cost dragon because the game never gets to the point where I have to play them.

So I checked and Im at rank 3 3 stars now. I honestly dont remember winning that many games. It seems I havent lost since that three loss streak that sent me to 5-4

Also I think Highlander priest might be too good? Idk Im running like an 80+ Win percentage and over 70% from rank 5 up. The main three decks I dont want to see are quest mage (which I havent seen any ), big priest (which I dont see a lot of ), and hunter which rogue is just keeping down. But like if I see a rogue its basically a free win for me. I think almost all of my losses have been mirrors

Now we're regressing to the mean. Just had one control matchup where both Shadow Visions and Divine Spirits were in my bottom 6 cards and another where I drew my first dragon on Turn 5 after keeping only Brann and then my bottom 4 cards were Shadow Visions/Shadow Visions/Inner Fire/Divine Spirit. Time to hang it up for a while because I'm actually seething angry after that last one.
