Reviews all seem pretty universal: amazing gameplay, questionable graphics and roster.

Also, the first six DLC characters have been confirmed:

Monster Hunter
Venom
Winter Soldier
Black Panther
and...

Black Widow.

The fact that it's 2 Capcom and 4 Marvel (unless it's Saturday Night Slam Masters Black Widow, which would probably cause people to implode with rage), people are speculating that it was a last minute switch to counter the very-few-female-characters complaint.

It played well and the models were fixed a bit but I'm still bitter how we go from UMvC3's size roster to a roster that's literally 1/3 of the size

The reality is that there's no way Marvel would allow them to do that, even if they had no plans to include Marvel Black Widow

maybe one of her color schemes will be a reference though, but I'm not sure if they even bothered to do color scheme references this time or if they're all just random color schemes

I was looking at this on Amazon UK and it is at 38 on the video game charts, despite coming out tomorrow. That's... bad.

That's what I expected. I've seen Maximilian's videos and the system looks awesome -- you can still do crazy MAHVEL bull, but you can get hit without auto-losing a character. Plus dynamic tagging is hype, the stones seem like a great way to spice things up but not reach X-factor levels of stupidity.

But man it doesn't look that great. Ghost Rider's L3 is particularly atrocious.

Yeah, reminds me of that Dark Souls 2 or 3 special edition with the "Estus Flask"

at least the statues that came with the MVCI special edition look good for the cost

My favourite thing about those pictures is that even the box is a substantially lower quality than in the advert.

Stone product is accurate to what you'd expect by throwing the real infinity stones into this game's graphics engine-- advert looks far too pretty.

I'm at the launch party in San Francisco and there's only like 30 people here, way smaller than the other Capcom events I've been to. I think Tatsunoko vs Capcom had even more people at it's launch party.

I remember MVC3's launch party being huge, with a least a few hundred people (I also remember having to come early to get a goodie bag) Hell I think even the launch party for the Vita version of UMvC3 may have had more people :/

And it's mostly esports guys here too.

I think eSports in general went on a huge decline for a while. It started when Street Fighter x Tekken was absolutely awful, and then it had a chance with Street Fighter V, but that ended up being a giant bust too.

I don't know what kind of magic game needs to happen like Street Fighter IV to get the resurgence again, but it feels like DBZ Fighter may do it.

Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite has a lot of meme jokes about it and a bad roster. Everything else about the game seems amazing, but the roster is just a huge hang up.

while SF5 didnt get as big as people hoped it's STLIL the most played game at a competitive level (though Tekken and Injustice are catching up) and of course Smash Melee and Wii U are pretty close considering no Nintendo support
