I dunno I mean the roster sucks and it's hard to go to this after UMvC3 had nearly the ideal roster for its time, but Marvel 2's roster was basically CPS2 Sprite Dump: The Game and it's one of the best games of all time so the roster doesn't define it completely. I still have hope.

Also, the game volume is loud enough to make the commentary unintelligible in this marquee exhibition match. How many of these events are they gonna screw up as much as they did they did the buildup?

Pls nerf Dormammu carpet. Make it like, half as long or something. It seems like it's way too much.

even worse: the game is NOT available now (at least on steam, and PSN web store seems to still have preorder language on there but I dunno if you can play it on the console or what)

Capcom's esports focus is making them almost as despised as their DLC practices.

It's a shame too since there are some nice folk I met personally in the FGC but the "we don't need arcade mode" and shills who defend Capcom's bad decisions makes the whole FGC look like a bunch of jerks to the casual market.

The story mode gets progressively dumber, but in the god damn good cheesy way

Its very unbearable during the "Demo" story mode

but then Hulk carries Ryu away like a child

Spidey, Haggar, and Frank West are in the same team

and then the demon (fighters) Dr. Strange, Ghost Rider, Morrigan, and God damn Arthur fight Dormammu, Jedah, and Fire Brand

its super delightful

Capcom did not even bother to secure a midnight release on steam. Looks like it launches at 10am(?) PST for PC.

As an addendum to the the sales chart thing, the game is trailing Pokken Tournament DX everywhere I look. It also has worse reviews.

It seems the destiny of major Capcom fighting games (SFV now this) to get out-reviewed and outsold by Pokken.

I think I might actually try and make a mod pack for this game replacing X's voice with clips from X8/MHX/CM.

Also one replacing as much of the music with the corresponding MvC3 themes. REALLY not liking the music overall in this game.

The game is available for play on PC finally...if you can get beyond the update required for launch(Many users had it say 300 days and just get stuck, my own says 30 minutes).

One thing that's just dumb in the PC version

It doesn't load your display settings until it gets to the title screen. So all the developer/middleware credits screens always happen in windowed mode, because that's the default and it doesn't check if you changed it to fullscreen until the title screen.

Things like that and not changing the default Steam unlock time just shows how little experience Capcom has with the platform. I mean it works fine but it's just like Capcom doesn't quite "get" PC games.

Another dumb thing

In Story Mode, some of the boss battles give you access to multiple Infinity Stones, I guess to counteract how tough the bosses are. You swap stones with R3.

Typically, fight sticks do not have an R3 button.

Not sure if you can maybe remap this but holy shit what kind of braindead decision is this to make that the default even if you can change it, and again I didn't look into it so MAYBE YOU CAN'T??

I think what confuses me most about this game is that there's a perfectly good screen transition in the mission mode. Why not just use that for everything? It beats the really jarring transitionless cuts they currently have.
