I'm flattered, Solio, that, of all the people here, you chose to single out me and my time at the top as the best representation of what the UCA has been over the last few months.

The flattery ends there, though.

See, while I'm grateful that I won't be squandering any of my time in the undercard in a nothing feud thanks to your insistence that you need to come back and prove yourself against the so-called best the UCA has to offer, you're going about it all wrong.

You can monologue for half an hour, just as I have been prone to do, and you can rely on the crutch that many before you have done by reminiscing of the glory days when you were on top of the world in an effort to prove your relevance to a new, different UCA, but that's all it is, a crutch.

I'm not saying you're wrong, either. Hell, I've always been the last person to tell someone that they're full of themselves when the first thing they come at me with is that they're the best there ever was, or that all those years ago, they mattered, because that might be the truth.

I will be the first person, though, to say that I don't care. Because really, truly deep down, I don't, and surely I'm not the only one.

Yeah, you'll probably get the XIII's and DP's of the UCA to think, "yeah, I remember now, maybe this guy should be a threat", but do you really think someone like me, or Emerald, who wasn't around in those days should just accept that what you did years ago should make you any threat at all?

I've earned the spot that I'm in. Showed up every day, spilled my heart out to each and every person here, and worked hard to get where I am. I ended DP's historic reign. I defeated any who came against me, and I put on classic matches against Strife, who has earned his position all the same.

You're a few months removed from "fun" and being in the Lightweight division, but sure, you've said a few words about how you were serious back then and you're serious now, so you deserve to shoot right back to the top.

You don't deserve a thing.

Here's the thing, Solio. Every time some old-timer has come at me, they've said the same thing, and every time, I've said I didn't care. Every time they tried to use the past as a way to carry them in the present, I've proven that my hard work and dedication is worth more than word of mouth in the end.

I respect you Solio, for everything you've done, for everything you are, for the admin who I introduced myself to during my first week here and looked up to, but that doesn't mean a single thing anymore.

I may be relatively insignificant here, in the grand scheme of things, but I'm not stupid. I know what's going on here, and I know what'll continue to go on until we get to the very end.

Slowly, we'll see legends, old greats, former champions show up, and think "I used to be awesome, let me just stroll back in here, declare myself the top dog, and fit right back into the main event, I mean, who cares about everything anyone has done while I wasn't paying attention". You aren't the first to do it, and I'll bet anything that you won't be the last.

Undisputed Title or not, today's UCA is one that I helped build, one that I, along with a few others, tried to keep afloat while you and a dozen others decided not to show up. Today's UCA is not your glory days, and I'll happily be that gatekeeper who makes sure you, and any others who want one last hurrah, don't get a chance to relive them.

This was just what I needed to prove to myself, if nothing else, that I have what it takes to keep going. Victory is only victory if you earned it, after all, and I would have hated to be a champion if I thought that I didn't earn it. Now I know that I was at least able to pull my weight.

Fanning the Flames
ZeroSignal knew he was in for a fight against King Strife for the Undisputed Championship. What he wasn’t expecting was a hellacious assault on a former partner. Strife snuck into a suburban bookstore and caused grievous harm to former UCA Hall of Famer TheKnightofNee at his personal book signing ceremony. ZSig has promised to kick Strife off the throne, but the question as to why the attack happened still remains unanswered.

Don’t Trifle the Stifled
Unhappy with his performance lately, StifledSilence vowed to do something about it. I doubt neither he nor the rest of UCA suspected it would come so quickly. He took the LW Championship Open Challenge and won, stopping XIII’s title reign in the process. He and Solio won a tag match earlier in the night as well.

Taybles Anyone?
LusterSoldier may have become the first Master of Taybles since Strife moved on, but DPOblivion proved adept, quickly swiping the title from him this week. DP has a knack for dangerous, wooden destruction. How far will he go as the new Master of Taybles?

You put yourself in my way, I responded by showing you who I am: a man unafraid of doing what is necessary, what is dangerous, and what I find exhilarating! You act as if being King and Undisputed Champion means I conform to some image or unwritten rules…so droll and so boring. Have you realized that is it because of these actions that this bloodthirsty audience roused from their chairs? I have defied limits, allowing me to reap benefits, and you expect me to stop? It’s not my fault you don’t share my dream where all UCA members act according to baser instinct: a motive that drives men to hunt, prey, and kill if need be. Ask CPU and David how I managed to defeat them. I analyzed and abused what they held most precious, brought monsters out of them, and FORCED them fight me with hate in their hearts. I'm about to hand you a Throwback™ from the very first day of my career, when I won the tag team championships in my debut match. Back then I was just new blood, but I was paired up by fate with one of the most timeless superstars ever seen in the UCA. And then, while we only sporadically reformed the team, we were gold every single time we went in that ring together.

There is no one person better suited to be on a "Team Solio" than my best friend from Grand Team Mayhem, and a great champion in his own right... I pick GTM!

I thrive at Modern Warfare. I've captained a team before, a team in which, with my leadership, easily defeated our opponents.

Modern Warfare means a lot to me. This year will be no different from the last. You can't win every single battle you pick, and sometimes getting a little too eager allows you to realize that you've bit off more than you can chew. I seen that against Boko, a Hall of Famer that I underestimated. Modern Warfare will not be that kind of battle.

My first pick as captain will come after some of this Tag tournament becomes more clear, in an effort to avoid double booking.

Last year I preached about it being an honour for anyone to be on my team. I am not that person anymore. This time, I'll be glad to team up with and share the ring with my fellow superstars for a last time.

Modern Warfare always seems to turn out close calls. All votes were in proper timestamps, so no funny business here. The Kingdom and Wigs had a solid lead until midday, thanks to my inability to sleep (Fuck my life). Eaed was able to turn the tide of the match with a massive Spear as I entered the ring with very few hours left. However, a vote spike for The Kingdom and Wigs was just enough to retake the lead before time ran out. For a match with no stakes, everyone sure fought hard.
