I like Dragoon - but Red Mage is pretty up there, especially the FFXI version since they get cool weapon buffs and are the best at landing status effects... and have the best looking AF

I assume my favorite is either Black Mage or Time Mage, if not Dragoon or Paladin. Red is probably top10, though.

My favorite is red mage because it's versatile. It gets good armor and weapons, plus access to white and black magic.

love the concept of not just a "glass cannon" as they're often called, but someone who is completely helpless in every way except that he can make up for potentially *any* deficiency by studying and learning and practicing his craft, with no practical limit on the power he can obtain besides the effort he is willing to put forth to master it.

X-2 is the only one ive played where jobs were chosen though barely started ZXII. But either Dark Knight or Berserker from that.

Apparently Samurai and Knight are the top class in XII but havent got there yet.

Blue mage all the way, every iteration is broken in some way, as long you ignore Kimhari, he sucks.

Red Mage is easily one of the most underpowered unless we're talking about an "everything's balanced" MMO.

Depends if your talking ability or design.

The former, they are the epitome of "jack of all trades, master of none" and in most games you would be really gimping yourself by having one too late in the game.

The latter, they are consistently some of the best designed throughout the games. My personal favourite iteration being Bravely Default.

I like Paladins, Mage Knights, and Red Mages the most, and I'm starting to really like Monks too.

Black mage followed by Monk. I love glass canon style magic classes. I also love fist using classes.

I WAS going to say "White Mage", because I always tend to go with a healer option if one is available.
