I like Magic Knights ala Final Fantasy Tactics. Depends if your talking ability or design. The former, they are the epitome of "jack of all trades, master of none" and in most games you would be really gimping yourself by having one too late in the game. The latter, they are consistently some of the best designed throughout the games.
