Big Druid may be the most fun deck I've ever played

Also the most expensive

Like I just had a game where I innervated Anaconda, Warrior Shield Slams and Pulls Dragonlord, then executes that and pulls regular Deathwing. Fun times.

Had a druid arena. Had some decent cards but questionable early game so it didnt go super far. But it had good synergy which carried me a few games. Like one I got 3 hits off of zoobot. I mean it was fucking insane. Another game I got violet teacher into spell into power of the wild. I also had a full board evolved spores.

of course other games I just died to like fledging or something so you know.

my first ladder game after returning was appropriately awesome

so it was like 2am and I didn't give a fuck and was just throwing something together to expedite the process of re-acclimating myself to the game as quickly as possible

I guess it would fall under the umbrella of "value mage" but also add in the aspect of "drunk and really don't give a damn on top of not having the first clue what the meta is like"

Was up against C'Thun + Quest Druid. Don't know jack about the meta but it shows you the quest card so based on the whole concept of him wanting to summon 5-attack minions I had a general sense of what I was up against. So I figured, "oh, I should probably try to play aggressively here"

Don't remember the exact opening hand but I do know for sure I had Mana Wyrm and Apprentice. Can't really remember the early stages but basically I gained a slight amount of tempo at first but gave up card advantage. Figured I probably needed massive luck to finish it out.

Eventually he did finish his quest and then flooded the board with Twin Emperor (x2) and like 3 other minions and he /wellplayed. I answered with blizzard + doomsayer. Next turn he just plays Disciple for 2 to my face, hero powers me in the face for 1, and then passes.

Stuff happened I don't remember.

Things I know for sure happened:

-used BGH on an 8/x something or other
-cleared a 10/5 and a 5/10 ancient which he played back to back
-tomed into tome. one of those two gave me an extra blizzard

The turn after I played Ice Block he played a 22/22 C'Thun, which hit my Acolyte twice and something else I had on board, doing 19 damage to me when I was at 20 with an Ice Block up. So amazingly he ends turn with me at 1 health still with ice block.

So I faceless manipulator his C'Thun and Cone of Cold to freeze his entire board.

On his turn he heals more and then procs my ice block. So he's at like 25 or something.

I topdeck Pyroblast. Plus a 22 attack C'Thun.

I fucking love hearthstone lmao.

Just a quick note, when you're creating your deck now you can hover over the name of it and it allows you to copy the deck to the clipboard. Makes it a lot easier than typing each card out. Even gives you a unique code that someone else can copy right into their game and automatically build the deck. Looks like this.

You can also copy the whole thing, fwiw -- the '#' symbol marks comment lines; i.e., lines that are ignored by the parser. In other words: you can't screw up! Yay!

I've been playing an Exodia Quest Mage deck that includes an Alarm-o-Bot, which seems really dumb until you realize that it lets you do dumb things like win the game without getting the full Exodia combo. Or burn Molten Reflections on Loot Hoarders to get through your deck faster. Or... You get the idea.

I have three different versions of Exodia, all pretty much exactly the same. Three or four cards different between them. Built them to try and figure out which one I liked to play the best, never figured it out. They were all equally 'kind of ok' as far as winning went, so that never really made a difference.

Probably going to delete one of them, though, as it was mainly there to counter Quest Rogue.

Lmfao I had the best moment ever (today).

I forgot that Kalimos only did 6 dmg to face and not 8 so Like I was sitting with the opponent with 2 health. Luckily I had some big minions in hand which kept me a live for a bit but eventually my hand was exhausted. I manage to to another damage so he's at one. So I have enough minions now that without a spell he can't kill all of them. Or without a charge so he gets a charged devilsaur and kills all of them. Another couple of turns go by with me summoning stuff, getting lucky with a life saving taunt totem. He summons a dude, plays a guy, and passes.

I top deck into MCT. I play it immediately and taker the devilsaur of course to hit for lethal.

Just got the twelfth win in an arena run when my opponent left after the mulligan. How anticlimactic. But it also listed his name as "Your Opponent" so maybe the client glitched and gave me a free win against nobody?

Poor priest dirty rat's my hyena. I get Huffer the next turn, kill him and my bat to take out the taunt, and go in for 6. Then 10. Then 14.

Came across a priest in arena at 3-1 that had a constructed deck.

When I say that I mean. Cleric, Radiant X2, Circle, Fledgling, pain, PWS. I conceded when he used circle on a full board with cleric up. That was like turn 6.

This is every Mage draft for me. I'd have to look it up again, but I think I was offered five Frost Bolts, one Fireball, one Blizzard, one Glyph, zero Portals, zero Meteors and zero Flamestrikes in my last ten drafts. And yet I keep picking Mage every single time it appears. My luck has to turn around eventually...

I should pick Hunter. That's the opposite of Mage for me. Worst case scenario for Hunter seems to be 'eh, decent enough aggro deck'.

Not just tirion. But Con, double vine, spikeridge, etc. Basically he should be like 10-2 and not 1-2.

No. he played two. One on turn 3 and the other on turn 5. He didn't have a card to generate another either. He just had two in the deck.

Also lost to an 0-2 mage with the following cards: Meteor, Flamestrike, Blizzard (2), Fireball, Poly, Frostbolt, Cabalist tome, Pyroblast. BTW the tome gave him another blizzard and another meteor.

Its like playing a really long Starcraft 2 match where both sides had like four expansions and winning and then losing to a zerg rush immediately after and saying the matchmaking is broken. It's not like you can just say no zerg rushes.

I don't know what kind of ranking system Starcraft had, but in Hearthstone you advance based on the differential in wins. If you have a 51% winrate with "zerg rush", but a 55% winrate by playing a longer game, it's still to your advantage to play the zerg rush.
