I was about to say pretty much the same thing before chaeix beat me to it. Simply put, Jaina is the one hero with a connection to Arthas. (Well, okay, Uther does, too, but Uther's also dead thanks to Arthas.)

I also think Mage is one of those classes with a pretty decent skill gap and is "easy to learn, difficult to master" for a class. Probably only behind Priest and Rogue for skill wise (and maybe Warlock)

Uther would be just as relevant as he was Arthas's paladin mentor, but he will probably actually become a death knight, which wouldn't have sent the message that every hero will be corrupted in their own way as well. Jaina goin all Lich on our asses is pretty good.

Thank Blizzard and their idiocy of not doing timely balance patches. A legitimate company would have hotfixed Caverns, Glyph, and Fledgling in less than a week.

League of Legends does not have 82766395 million playsrs because of its parent company letting stupid bullshit stay in the meta for 4 months at a time.

They just appear. Eventually. If it's anything like last time, don't wait around because it seemed like it was a few weeks. Wasn't a super long wait the first two times they did it, not sure why it took so long last time.

Personally, I'm hoping they do wait a few weeks and hand out the new packs, but I expect them to wait a few and then hand out Classic/Ungoro.

Came back recently and played 3 arenas.

10-3 (A "bad" Mage), 6-3 (An okay Paladin), 5-3 (A bad Paladin)

I want to say. The mage deck I had like one secret (counterspell) and 1 Arcanologist. For like 6 games in a row I had the arcanologist in my hand on like turn two or 4 or something and would draw the counterspell before i played it. Why. Also had a game where i got like 3 random spells AND THEY WERE ALL COUNTERSPELLS. How does that happen.

I just need to figure out whether I should pack a Divine Spirit/Inner Fire Priest or Miracle Rogue or go all in on a silly big Ramp Druid and cheese wins with Barnes into Y'Shaarj or Deathwing Dragonlord

There's good rng and bad rng that evens out over a long enough time. I've learned to stop complaining about the bad stuff, because for every bad loss I get a taunt warrior win that I in no way deserved.

I mean like statistically, that should not happen. I'm sure it doesn't beat though when I played a guy who played two unstable portals back in the day (I think TGT) and the two minions he got was Tirion and Jurraxis. I played another person the next game and he played two portals and got the same two minions. How.

Why would they remove Skeram Cultist? It's a nice big 6-drop. Who cares if it's a C'Thun buffer? Personally, I think some of those cards that are nixed in arena should be fine to get, like Windspeaker. I know that's an old change, but I still thought it was odd to exclude that.

They made some new elementals, but they still didn't tag some of the minions that really ought to have it, like Shifting Shade.

Who knows if the set will be any good or not, but with the two weeks of double gold, free mini-adventure and now three free arena runs and at least another six packs through them, this has been a pretty good expansion already.

It's always been a weird decision. They excluded C'thun cards because they thought it would feel bad to see them all of the time knowing you wouldn't see C'thun. But at the time it was very hard to curve out in arena even with optimal drafting, and just about all of those cards were good on curve plays vanilla stats wise. It's easier to curve out now, but a 3 mana 3/4 would still be a good card.

As for Windspeaker and the like, they just axed the cards that had the lowest win % when played in a game. But that meant they got rid of some cards that are good if you know how to use them but were often used poorly like Snipe, Soul of the Forest and Ancestral Healing.

Arena entry tickets are a good precedent to start imo. I think they would make a great quest reward.
