Apparently Bonemare (played by the opponent in the video) is a collectible card too - 7 mana 5/5 common neutral - give a friendly minion +4/4 and taunt.

That seems like a potentially really strong arena card that everyone will be tired of seeing.

So it is expensive, especially if you're not playing a class that can generate minions with a hero power, and is therefore gonna be a dead topdeck surprisingly often. It's nowhere near as good as Flappy Bird, Firelands Portal, Spikeridged, etc.

still really good though.

EDIT: Even in paladin, 9 mana summon two 5/5's, one with taunt, isn't terribly broken. It's very much a win-more card -- on curve on turn 7, used to blow out an opponent on the board, it's crazy, but it's a card I'd hate to see if I'm behind.

7 mana slot is a bit more contested but it's still very good, especially in Paladin (Spikeridged follow up) or Hunter (Many Sticky Deathrattles which will give this plenty of value)

I would give anything for the name and address of every single person that helps design any random mechanic in this game, plus every single player who defends this garbage and thinks it's a good idea to have trash like Adapt in a card game.

Or anything that says 'random' on it, in fact. Games should be decided on skill and deck building ability, not dice rolling.

Ben Brode still having a job in this country is the #1 example Trump is failing as a president. It's long past time to fire idiots who don't know what the hell they're doing. IMO a lot of issues with the current game are discovers fault. Which is weird because discover was not really that important when it was first released.

It's especially bad in Arena. Just had someone on mage with an empty hand top deck the 2/2 minion that lets you discover from 3 classes. Discovered Greater Word Pain to kill my Deathwing that would have given me lethal next turn.

I still won anyway but that sort of stuff shouldn't happen.

discover used to be one of the best random mechanics, they turned it into one of the worst by taking it too far. that said I do agree that Ivory Knight is one of the best designed cards in recent memory. Karazhan had a few gems. The Curator is another one of my favorites (not a discover card, just another Karazhan card).

Man, arena skill level is really terrible right now. So far today:

Mage - 12-2
Rogue - 6-3
Paladin - 5-3

The Paladin deck in particular has no fucking business getting 5 wins. When I drafted it I genuinely thought I might get zero wins with it. It is possibly the worst deck I have ever drafted. Absolutely no early game whatsoever and all mid-late game were bad cards.

Defile looks pretty good, and I love Discover-a-Rez.

Also feels like, even with all of the freeze synergy coming out, Frozen Shaman still won't be any good.

Edit: If you would have told me when Keleseth was announced that there were going to be two more prince cards, I never would have guessed they would have both been weaker.

Mage DK needs to actually kill a minion to summon the Water Elemental? Why does this cost 9?

This makes more sense. Unfortunately it doesn't work. You could copy the dreadsteed (which is done in dreadsteed decks) and if they're at different health totals, you could have the same thing happen.

An easier fix would be to just make it so the recast on Defile takes priority over other effects. That way you don't clear the board of patrons and dreadsteeds don't respawn until after it finishes. That's not as spaghetti code-ish as altering Dreadsteed to respond at the end of the stack. Maybe you just rephrase Defile to say "repeat this effect if it reduces a minion's health to zero."

That's a major nerf to Defile, given the number of deathrattle - spawn a creature effects in the game.

It also wouldn't solve the problem because, unlike e.g. Magic, triggers are allowed to interrupt effects midway through (c.f. volcano + hydra, or mad scientist + SI-7 agent + Mirror Entity).
