Any good, cheap Western RPGs that can run on a fairly basic laptop? My collection is basically zero, so don't worry about suggesting even the most obvious ones.

Shadowrun: Dragonfall Director's Cut
Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines
Divinity: Original Sin
Fallout New Vegas
Mass Effect 1 + 2
Alpha Protocol

So Shadowrun was another one that stood out to me as I checked these out. I see there's Dragonfall and Returns. Is it worth getting Returns first? Should it just be skipped?

Morrowind or Oblivion?

Morrowind: great game, terrible mechanics and gameplay
Oblivion: improvement on everything else, but the world itself is bland and sterile

On my wishlist:
$36 - Civ 6
$12 - Shantae Pirate's Curse
$10 - TITS
$10 - FF13-3
$9 - Stardew Valley
$7 - Moon Hunters
$5 - Kingdom Rush Frontiers
$5 (or $8) - DA:O
$4 - Valdis Story
$4 - Epic Battle Fantasy 4
$3 - Lara Craft Go

I don't even remember half these games or why I put them on there. (Moon Hunters?) Some I probably no longer have interest in. Looking for input, but don't automatically jump on Stardew Valley -- that's already there on reputation alone, but I dunno if I'll enjoy it or just get bored. I kinda liked Harvest Moon back in the day, but I got bored with it super easily. DA:O would be a repurchase since I apparently don't have the product key for my old version; I might love replaying it or tire of it quickly. I have about 300 hours played on Civ 5.

Suggestions?

Kingdom Rush Frontiers is one of the best tower defense games, though TD isn't my kind of genre.
Lara Croft Go is fun, a bit simple, just some nice casual puzzle solving. I 100%'d on iOS.
Stardew is fantastic, I loved Harvest Moon as a kid and Stardew was more of the same but a lot better. I'm kinda waiting on the co-op before I get back into it.

I have Planet Coaster and New Vegas sitting in my cart at the moment, so I'll probably buy those at some point. There's other stuff that catches my eye, but I don't play as many PC games these days and have Horizon Zero Dawn and The Witcher 3 sitting on my PS4 from their summer sale that will probably suck up all my time once I *finally* beat Persona 5.

Luckily I don't get paid again until after the sale ends so I won't have that extra money in my account tempting me as much near the end of the sale.

I'm debating getting Zero Escape: The Nonary Games. On Steam it's pretty much $34 and on PS4 it's $30. Is there a difference between the games on either platform?

I kind of want to get it for the PS4 if I can because I think it would be a great game to play alongside someone, along with it being a slight bit cheaper, at least for the duration of today.

Beyond Good & Evil
Earth 2150 Trilogy
Earth 2150 Lost Souls
Earth 2150 The Moon Project
Renowned Explorers
Shadow Complex Remastered
The Curious Expedition
The Witness
Ys I
Ys II

Only really played Renowned & Curious Exps so far. Like them both, suck at both, both play similar but feel very different so far.

Curious Expedition is fun to explore and reminds me of the exploration of A Dark Room. I like the map movement and terrain features, the limited inventory and party size making every item risk/reward to keep or buy, the dice roll combat is simple but awesome, terrain manipulation, curses, standing... it's a lot of fun so far.

Renowned Explorers has a lot more depth, and combat and trait focus, with a map system that reminds me of FTL but an economy and event-style system that feels like Gremlins Inc. It feels like it's not only harder to get into, but also much much harder to master. Lot of good humor and quest-style events though, and the combat system, though frustrating so far, is very interesting with lots of round-to-round prep almost required in later stages. A really sunny and playful Darkest Dungeon.

for me, it was between that and Caveblazers, and due to the higher profile I think Caveblazers has a better shot at being in a Humble Monthly, so I went with Unexplored. I also have three other new roguelikes in Immortal Redneck (really fucking good, imo), Neurovoider (also really good) and Cryptark (haven't played yet) since Humble matched the sale price on those games.

I don't know about you, but now that you've reminded me that it exists, Episode 2 is out, and I've finally watched the trailer and it looks wonderful, I'm going to buy Bear With Me.

Which brings my current cart of possible-second-batch-of-purchases up to:

Homeworld: Deserts of Kharak Expedition Guide
Pixeljunk Shooter Ultimate
Cyan Children's Pack (because I'm a HUGE Myst fan)
