Like them both, suck at both, both play similar but feel very different so far. Curious Expedition is fun to explore and reminds me of the exploration of A Dark Room. I like the map movement and terrain features, the limited inventory and party size making every item risk/reward to keep or buy, the dice roll combat is simple but awesome, terrain manipulation, curses, standing... it's a lot of fun so far. Renowned Explorers has a lot more depth, and combat and trait focus, with a map system that reminds me of FTL but an economy and event-style system that feels like Gremlins Inc. It feels like it's not only harder to get into, but also much much harder to master. Lot of good humor and quest-style events though, and the combat system, though frustrating so far, is very interesting with lots of round-to-round prep almost required in later stages.
