Yeah, march of the beasts is pretty easy now. The only hard parts was the chimera in one of the fights because it resists ice, so I had to whittle it down with Gilgamesh.

Usually takes more than one attempt.

Either fish, or slug out with him.

Designate a punching bag for safety bit on thresholds(Cecil/Snow/WKN/Wilhelm/*6WoL), seal off fire/holy/lightning(Must be part of a hybrid).

Don't bother with water, since he pulls out X-saber eventually. You may want to seal wind.

Don't take out multiple thresholds if you can't kill him.

Besides healer if you don't bring the big chainers you can bring Rain( w his passive enhanced for mp-regen+as much hp as you can muster, plus holy weapon and wind and make him spam Lava floor.)


Unless it's about how to deck him out, which means combining sword/great sword katana while waiting for his weapon master enhancements.

Cecil died a lot, Refia to keep wasting turns reviving him and when she died I refused to use items to heal her.

So I tried a mad dash at wiping Gilgamesh out, my chain combo broke at 11 instead of 27.

Lightning was my sealer

Try Snow defending until threshold where he uses Provoke. (Safety bit equipped.)

Take your Fryevia (DW, esper Diablos for lower encounter rates and man-eater), mine, and then a unit that can do buffs or debuffs (ideally a healer for one of those).

On turn one I just had the Fryevias FFB and Wilhelm was dead (after Cecil and Refia did Focus/Embolden). Turn two the units he has with him died to a dual Frost Flash..

Just wanted to let you know, this worked perfectly!

Just need to figure out if I want a 2nd Orlandeau or Noctis as friend.

Yeah, DW and Friend Freyvia does a fuckton more damage than double Orlandeau.

The power creep is real. Setzer + Orlandeau + Orlandeau friend made short work of ELT Wilhelm.

A well built Fryevia is the best damage dealer in the game by a pretty significant margin. Congrats and welcome to the Fryeviarmy!

As far as her build goes, DW and as much mag as you can give her will turn her into a machine. If you want to give a full Fryevia a test run, Ganon and I are both running her.

You only need one weapon for the elemental damage to apply, so use Enhancer for now.

I did it with:

Rain: DW, Rune Blade, Air Knife
Cecil: Excalibur/Durandal, Black Belt, Golem
Bartz: Chirijiraden/Trident, MP Battery, Auto Attack only
Y'shtola: Dualcast Heals
Noctis Friend: DW Excalibur and Chirijiraden preferred, but not required.

Try to get the most HP you can on the team, not worry so much about attack power. Conserve MP and just use standard attacks and limit breaks until the first threshold, Noctis will be using Cover for MP regeneration on cooldown, Cecil will Provoke and Limit Burst when he can as well as back up heal if necessary.

Try to use Golem before pushing each threshold, and make sure Cecil has provoked as well the turn before. Use Noctis to push the threshold if you can. Noctis can full raise Cecil, or Yshtola can dualcast Raise and then Curaja if Noctis is busy after the 50% threshold.

After the first Bushido Transform, Rain uses Lava Floor every single turn until the end of the fight. Noctis continues to use Cover for MP regeneration.

Use Golem again before 50% and make sure you've provoked ahead of time. After 50%, Noctis will be using Thunder Flask every turn for the rest of the fight, Rain will still be using Lava Floor until end as well as mentioned. Bartz is now your mana battery with Life Giver. Make sure that before you use Life Giver, Cecil and Yshtola hasn't taken their turn yet. You should only need to use Life Giver for Noctis and Rain if you've been managing your MP. When Bartz uses Life Giver, Yshtola dual casts Raise and then Curaja, and then Cecil uses Curaja.

Bartz will probably have to give his life several times, but after 50%, the fight starts coming to a close a lot faster since Noctis will be using Thunder Flask every turn which will help speed things along. When you get down to a sliver of health, have everyone use their Limit Breaks and pray you didn't do it too early :).
