Kind of excited to try the Titan trial. Already got my Rash Impulse Xon set up (mostly, keep going back and forth between extra HP/Def and more evasion), and will be slapping Golem on Fryevia for stone killer. Like most trials, not going to bother with the kill via Esper reward.

Edit: According to the FFBE board, datamine is out for the Titan Trial, no difference from JP in terms of attack patterns (no word on stats yet)

Trying to figure out what team I want to run for Titan. Definitely using Xon, DC Refia, and Fryevia. Even though Ramza doesn't have his enhancements, I'm still thinking of bringing him as a breaker, and then the 40% Hero's Rime boost. I've heard a second Tank can be useful, so might bring in Cecil. Possibly Y'Shtola for another healer. Setzer or Gilgamesh for possible chain building/finishing. So many possibilities.

Alright, I'm going to have around 150k Phantoma for cryst shopping after this event. What is the best purchase to make?

- 5 giancrysts
- 1 pure crysts, 2 giancrysts
- grind a bit more and get 2 purecrysts

I'm thinking 5 giants seems like the best just because of how hard they are to come by?

Get Support and Power Pures since we are going to be able to grind for T4 more comfortably soon from the first story.

From my understanding, it's still a 12.5% chance of getting the giancryst that you want at the cost of 90 energy each run. Still a lot better than the prior odds, but you're still looking at several days of grinding on average to get a specific one. They keep giving us Purecrysts for every event, so I still think the giancrysts are the way to go right now. We also don't know when we're getting the gauntlet events for giancrysts, since the schedule is so messed up.

For those that play JP, did they increase the friend capacity to anything beyond 130 there? I'm hoping if we get that thing that increases slots that I've heard about in JP, friend capacity is included.

I have 130 friends, and almost kind of regret it at times. It can take me up to a half hour of quitting and restarting to get a specific friend I want for a particular battle.

She's not worth much from what I've heard, don't have her myself though.

My entire list is full of active gamefaqs people at 130, and I don't want to delete people when trying to help someone else out. I've been getting a bunch of private messages over the last week from people asking to use my Fryevia to help with Wilhelm/Crystal Tower and I'd like to have more spots without needing to boot someone that's active for it (since I won't boot actives from gamefaqs). It's slowed down a lot since I removed my friend code from my sig and changed my IGN (or the people that send pms for that stuff already got in, that's probably more likely), but I still don't like letting people down when I can't add them. It's a stupid personal thing, but I'd still like to have more slots anyway.

QoL from JP anniversary: Item/Equip/Units Slots +50 | Item Stacks 99 -> 199(We got this earlier for mats) | +30 Max Energy.

Meanwhile I'm with some 35 friend slots and don't see why I should add more.

As for getting more T4 vs. More T5: T4.
Not every upgrade needs, or wants, T5. Almost all of them want T4 at Lv1 or 2. Some like Bartz or Dark Fina do but Snow is one power T4 for each counter boost maxed, Chizuru is one T4 for 40% evasion. Even at the point where you'll need T5, it's probably not going to be the bottleneck, 2x the T4 will.

i only have... 35 friend slots.
i'm just not sure what the point is of adding that many.

and Grace is okay. she's got ridiculous HP - we're talking naturally hits 6-7k - and she has a super strong attack with a base 1200% modifier but it kills her. she needs to be on an auto-life team for max effect, so Rem or eventually Rikku. she also has 15% elemental resistance, so with a bit of work she can be great for that too.

eventually she'll get some enhancements too that'll make her much better: Battle Cyborg 1 = 30% elemental resistances (from 15%), 2 = 30% boost to ATK and DEF (from 0%); Unlimited goes to increased buff (150%) or 300% Berserk at 1, at 2 it just is the buff (no more randomness), Last Sequence goes up to 1600%.

thing is, only the first one isn't super expensive on T4 and T5. fortunately the first one's the best because that's a much needed boost.

Aright here's the skinny on XIV Titan ELT

It's not as bad as XIV Ifrit ELT (good god), but oh my god bring Minfilia with you and put up Soil guard, DEF Buff, and Break Primal Titan immediately, the bastard spams Tumult like 3-4 times a turn

Definitely a step up from Shadow Bahamut, but not too dangerous

Which leaves the True Titan Trial... yeah... I'll wait until we have all the info on it
