Why though TC? Don't you want to see other places? I mean granted I very rarely travel outside my city myself as i simply don't need to but I've been to other other cities and even another country once. If I had the finical means I'd defiantly go to more cities/countries rather than confined myself to a box.

I thought you used to complain a lot about your mom ruining your life. If it's not that, what is stopping you from going out more, even if it's just getting your own place in town? Are you afraid of being alone or having to handle paying bills and taking care of the place?

I find it strange that since you're not in a good place, that you'd turn to strangers for.......I'm not really sure what: comfort or validation....?

That's....not really a good thing.

For one thing, you'd spread negative vibes and the instinct for others is to avoid you. No one wants to be shouldered with others' problems. Might seem harsh but it's the truth.

Also, this comes off as a superficial attempt to gain sympathy.....which speaks volumes on the inner workings of your mind.

And if it was true that you're not in a good place right now, this is the last place you should go to for comfort. None of the people here would really know you or.....care. They can give you a virtual pat on the back and say "There, there....". But that's it. And even then, they'd tire of doing that too.

You really need to reach out to people who know, accept and love you IRL.

Although I agree real life is better and GameFAQs is the last place you would try and get real advice from I will say a lot of folk find comfort in finding like-minded folk on the internet and getting advice from those folk that they probably wouldn't have got in real life. Sometimes knowing someone is 'listening' to your problems, even if it is a faceless person on the internet helps a lot.

I've never been on a vacation in my life, and I only use my time off when I'm at the point of losing it (we only can keep ~120 hours at a time).

I have been in what feels like a long term existential crisis (probably the last 5 years or so). I feel like there is no meaning to life. I basically life in isolation all the time that I am not at work. I don't think that talking to someone would help me resolve this problem, it feels like there's some greater life lesson that I've yet to learn. Furthermore, I am adamantly against taking any form of medication, and I've never had alcohol or smoked before as I feel that they're an escape and I would be giving in if I ever did.

My parents have established that they have no idea what the hell to do with me, and don't understand what's wrong. From my perspective, I think they've just given up helping me and let me wallow in the hopes that I'll just suck it up. I barely talk to them despite living with them.

Also no friends. I've never really had any that weren't from the internet, and I get huge anxiety around meeting the couple of internet friends that live locally so I always back out.

Tc, do you mean literally never travel alone, or do you mean just without your parents?

I've gone to aspen with friends, and other out of state places with friends, but I've never gone all by my self. I leave my town a lot, but I never really go all alone.

I don't travel. The only time I ever go anywhere is when I (rarely) run errands with my mother. We're talking about once every few months.

Oh, and work but I don't deviate from my travel to work.

Therapy doesn't require medication. You need to talk to a counselor first to get an assessment.
