Fryevia's 1 HP remaining is one of her skills, I shall not lose! If you get hit by a single attack with enough damage to kill you when she has over 20% max HP, it triggers and she gets set to 1 HP. Only thing that prevents her from being a true glass cannon in my eyes, since her defense and HP stats make her pretty squishy otherwise.

If anyone is giving it another run/trying it for the first time, I have my Fryevia set up with Diablos for Demon Killer. Should be able to help in the DPS department.

That's my thought on it as well. Will probably wait to do the attempted esper kill run until after I finish the Ribbon I'm working on right now. No sense in trying to rush that when I'm not going to be working on that set of TMRs for a while.

Luka would have to be a 6th unit in that case, because she's not a good enough healer as dualcast doesn't affect her abilities. Unless you're going to roll with just a friend DPS unit, you kind of need Refia/Y'Shtola on heals, Minfilia on buffs, Snow/Cecil/WKN on tank and then a DPS unit of your own.

If you're not going for the tickets and have a 6-member party, I'd rather just have Ling instead of Luka, because Ling can cure petrify and Luka can't.

In Mysidia City one of the Flamering Keys is in a location that can only be reached by using the teleported that can randomly teleport you to any teleportation crest in the city

Unfortunately there is no rhyme nor reason to the teleporter so you have no choice but backtrack to it everytime it sends you to the wrong place until it sends you to the right place

Tried the new trial. Did not know about the threshold, so I got rekt at 50%.

Ling/D.Fina/BCLid is kinda usefull cause you need to proc Blind and SilenCE on it to keep Flare and Tremor in check.

Aww yeah, on my 3rd try I included Bartz into my 5 man team, and the fight went swimmingly thanks to a 400 ATK and 800 MAG Fryeveia, and got the No Item requirement

Despite being paired with Ramuh (the ****?)

Really wished I didn't splurge on Asagi's Support Awakenings, Bartz only does niche stuff but by god he niches hard. Could have used the upgraded versions of his Support stuff

How many Dual Wields should I worry about getting?

I have 4 Zidanes, but enough Trust Moogles to maybe get one of them to 90%. So, I could use two more Zidanes and get a Dual Wield and still have one more Zidane left for a future Dual Wield, or should I hold onto all of them, eventually get a Dual Wield soon (within the month maybe), and another 3 or so later down the line.

What do you guys think?

I don't earn Trust Moogles all that frequently, nor do I TMR farm much (since doing it manually sucks, and my computer doesn't use the emulators very well without lagging like crazy).

i'm working on my 2nd DW next i think. one and the knife just aren't enough, Fryevia's got the first DW on lockdown except for really special circumstances and i'm just juggling the knife between Nine, Setzer, and Ace. bear in mind, i just finished getting my second Setzer to 6* too, so there is that.


i also got Cecil to 6* finally thanks to this event. LB maxed out to LV25. those giant king burst pots are godly. i may also just raise the 5* Y'Shtola i've got with 'em, that damage reduction goes from 30% to 54%, though it's just for one turn. it has a very niche use but it's very, very good when used right as that's basically surviving a boss' threshold. paired with Bartz for Entrust, she'd have no problem constantly spamming it and combined with Cecil, i'd have a crazy good defensive team. not particularly great for offensive magic though. Minfilia's better there at the expense of a slightly weaker party buff, though getting two buff LBs seems a bit redundant when burst pots are generally a rarity and Cecil just... goes absurdly fast.

the alternative option is to save for Rikku. only thing she gets at max LB is 50% DEF/SPR turning to 74% DEF/SPR. which honestly is pretty good, especially as her LB is giving people 80% auto-life. would be a second buff LB but honestly, it's the same percent as Cecil and the auto-life is a must. if i end up using WoL instead or a counter-tank like Snow, maybe that increase would become essential.

I might sacrifice a couple Zidanes then and slowly start working on the last Zidane as I can. I've actually done pretty well without Dual Wield up to this point (and I've been casually playing since launch), so I haven't really been spoiled by it yet.

I don't have any units capable of Dual Wield on their own, so I've basically never had that feeling of DW awesomeness until I got a Second Knife (which more or less became a permanent addition to my Noctis). I'd put Dual Wield on Orlandeau over Fryevia because I have WAY more Orlandeau friends, and from my understanding Chaining with a DW Fryevia is supposed to be fairly difficult.

Rem is a red mage, so unless elemental magic is pointless just chain away. Just... Don't go overboard with King.

All is not forgiven. Energy costs for Elt have nearly doubled 25/run). Base currency drop does not seem to have nearly doubled. They give us giancrysts to buy and then make us spend more energy/phantoms so people will use lapis to energy refresh. Well played Gumi.

I think I'm going to keep Fryevia up as my companion unless I end up pulling Rem on the dailies. She can 1HKO the ELT boss, seems more valuable than having King up when the lists will be filled with Rem by tomorrow.

You still need to time healing since he can kill himself.

This is what he gets:

+40% ATK & +75% Dark Resist & Cast Auto-Regen++ (~9999 HP Heal w/ 1x Mod per Turn)


Lose 60% HP 750% ST 1 Hit Dark Physical Attack & ST 3 Turn -100% Dark.

Lose 40% HP +350% AoE 1 Hit Dark Physical Attack & AoE 3 Turn -50% Dark Resist.
