After seeing how much you need to get an enhancement I've kinda written off ever really getting any. Or at least trying to get one, I assume I will naturally amass enough materials to get some someday

The only time to use the chamber is when you need a quick energy burn (and hopefully you haven't already went into the chamber of awakening when that happens, since you were out of those damn holy crystals earlier in the day).

Rem's knife on Seven was what broke Osmoslash+2 into the drinking up pretty much all mp in the arena. Only some can resist it so far. (About 300mp, 250ish on some targets.)

Ah, Osmoslash can do more than 30%? The description for the enhancements made it seem like it could hit 40% max and wasn't impacted by stats.

It's determined by MAG. The problem is you have very limited options to boost it if you are not piling on good materias.

In my case I just use Ramuh, Defender's Daggers, Creepy Mask, Mage's Habit and RR+Earrings as a test so far. No materias.

So fully enhanced, it say "Magic damage (0.4x) with MP drain (30%) to all enemies"

Does the attack do any normal damage, or is it all MP drain? Trying to figure out how that works. It's easy with Siphon Delta because the desc is "Magic damage (0.3x) as MP drain (10%) to all enemies"

Pure MP damage.

The differences between Seven and Rem is that while Rem need less to bump up her MAG to be scary in comparison, she also needs a materia you can only get now.

Looks like I'm gonna fall just short of 10k ranking in the raid unless I refresh once or twice. Oh well, not worth it for one extra ticket.

Oh, wait, maybe I won't bother. Fryevia has Osmoseblade which does the same thing to a single target (at least per the desc), and as hybrid damage. Since Typhon is also weak to ice, I can just use her to drain Ultros of MP and then roll over Typhon.

Edit: Okay, maybe I still will after reading the battle strategy. Can't hurt to have another MP drainer!

So today's daily got me King. FFBE rankings don't seem to favor him positively, so is it safe to forgo investing in him, and getting his Magnati or Multitask? Was thinking of not even leveling him and just putting him in the squad as is for his bonus, and then maybe forgetting about him after the event.

I have PLENTY of good damage dealers that I don't think he would compete with. Elza already covers most of his important abilities, but better.

What do you guys think? Skip the Magnati and Multitask and bench him after event?


I mean, I could maybe see some fun in giving him an Aurora Scarf (if I had one), Equip Spear, and Twin Lance and just seeing how many times he auto-attacks, but that would be pretty pointless lol.

Magnati is dirt cheap, so just get it.

King is only good for trolling the arena, and his TMR after this.


They don't stack. King gets 6 separate attacks anyway at lv 90+.

he gets a natural dual wield with guns, can auto-attack 6 times, and is out the box very strong.
but it's a very small box and frankly he's too annoying to use. i'm not leveling him either but i bought the exclusive materia.

mainly because you always should. never know when it'll be amazing!
who knows, maybe gumi will have some bizarre Type-0 moment and enhance him to not suck with the materia.
