I've yet to see these skills, to be honest. All I see is another "PG of the future" that'll likely fail miserably at the point guard part. Maybe he becomes a solid player, but he is not a PG.
I do agree that Monroe needs a bigger role in the offense.

Since it's a sign & trade does Nash have the majority of the power?
I mean, overall, it doesn't make much sense from the Suns standpoint. Other than getting something or nothing. Draft picks, especially in the later rounds tend to be a lot more hit and miss. Late round picks is exactly what the Suns are going to get too. I dunno, as a Suns fan I felt the Knicks had more to offer with Shumpert.
One of the main reasons NBA2k series crapped on other games is because of the user created content.
People custom make draft classes to the tee---And when I say custom make, I mean people spend 10-12 hours making the facial features of even 2nd Round picks from colleges you've never heard of---and you can download them directly from the game.
They're even rated based on how good they are so you can download the best one. NBA2k13 is coming soon so you might wanna wait for that. If not, 2k12 is on the cheap and the Anthony Davis draft class is already uploaded.

1.If you like Steve Nash then you should LOVE this move. His best chances for a title were:
Thunder(already have a PG) Heat(Can't afford him) Spurs(already have a PG) Boston(already have a PG) Chicago(Already have a PG)
The Lakers were the best option.
2.The Lakers could've won Games 2 and 4 against Oklahoma City. Don't forget this. Nash can't play defense but neither could Sessions. The difference is is that Nash adds EVERYTHING the Lakers need:
Fast Break(we've been bottom of the league for years) Pick and Roll(Again, piss poor) The ability to pass to Bynum/Pau in good situations Penetration not involving Kobe/Someone to bring the ball up not named Kobe
and most importantly, SOMEONE WHO CAN ACTUALLY SHOOT. We can spread the floor now. No more collapsing the paint against Kobe/Bynum.
This is literally the best day of the year. The Lakers just went from 16-1 to 8-1 for the title

If Kobe actually wants to play alongside Nash and realize he's going to be used more off the ball and spot up.
If he still insists on dominating the ball, the Lakers aren't going anywhere.
let's be honest though - kobe's the team's best shot-creator. the guy's got a surprisingly high bball iq (just an even huger ego) - i think there will be predictable friction but that he'll be smart enough to know how he's best used. i mean he takes those garbage contested shots all the time but you gotta remember, he does it because he can make them

Does he make them? Kobe is coming off his lowest TS% and eFG% for his career. His eFG% from 3-15 feet is down quite a bit and he's taking more shots outside of 16-23 feet (7.7 per game, the highest since 2007) he's taking 4.9 threes per game and hitting them at his lowest eFG% in the past 5 seasons.
You lived with the bad shooting because he shot .550-.560 for TS% (which is good for a shooting guard) but when it dips below .530 it's troubling.

3 years for bass bothers me. i was also hoping (probably against sense) we could flip him for someone of more value like jsmoove.
kobe's not making them like he used to, but it's partially because he takes them at bad times. quite obviously he'd be making them at higher rates if they weren't pullup contested fallaway double-teams over iggy/lebron/premier wing defender X all the time. spot up (relatively) wide open? i'm willing to be he'll still be among the finest in the league

Kobe has a history of supporting teammates, especially when it is clear how important they are to the team, and no doubt when a superior backcourt player shows up, he will adapt his game and put away any pursuit of personal glory. Kobe's motivation to help his team has always been his biggest passion, and now he will be entrusted to perform a less primary role in order to help win a championship for not only himself and his team, but also a man he must undoubtedly respect.

Donny: Are they gonna hurt us, Walter? Walter: No, Donny. These men are cowards.
Now that the Lakers have Nash, and the Knicks just got Kidd. The Knicks are probably going to match the offer to keep Lin. Which sucks for the Knicks, but is good for Lin. One of the reasons Kidd even came over was probably because of Lin in the first place.
Hopefully this means Jared Cunningham can break out on the Mavs. After seeing him live these past three years, he can be amazing if he adds a few pounds.

Dear people who don't watch Lakers games and are talking out of their asses,
Kobe brings the ball up court because he HAS to. He's been the best ball handler on the team for a decade, the best shot creator and playmaker for the same amount of time.
The reason Lakers fans are excited is the same reason we were excited to get Ron Artest: One Less Thing that Kobe has to do.
Signed,
Lakers fans.

nah, I think there's a good point there. Kobe thrives creating off the dribble, which is what Nash needs to be doing.
and though I don't really need to go there, Nash is a better clutch shooter than Kobe. guy just hits big shots. people probably have forgotten this since he's been on a crappy team for the last couple years.
Nash will make this work, but he would have been a lot better on a team without a great guard. he also is best running pick and roll, which I'm not sure will work since Kobe won't be very involved with those. he should play well with Gasol though. I'd trade Bynum for a good SF and build the team around Kobe, Nash, Gasol and shooters.
The Suns didn't work because they never had someone who could protect Nash's awful defense. That's why we're working to hard to get Howard for Bynum and picks or cap or whatever. But Bynum can't be traded for anyone else. We'd be the Suns all over again.
As for Kobe needing the ball, Joe Johnson worked perfectly well with Nash.
This actually works even BETTER for Kobe. The problem with the lakers last year was that every team just crowded the paint against Bynum and Kobe and we had no shooters to make them pay.
Now...Nash has never gotten so many wide open shots in his life.
