I have done 3/4 cups with new courses in MK7, and though this is probably the most polished game in the series, I think that this is the weakest batch of new courses in the series. Cheep Cheep Lagoon and Mario Circuit are my favorite of the 12 that I have played, but I don't know if they would be in the Top 10 if I included the retro courses.

Even though Rosalina's Ice World and Rainbow Road were Top 5 new courses in the game, I still think that it's the weakest batch in the series

I actually played a each mode online. The first one was a race on Music Park. Everyone had faster karts I think, but nobody knew how to drive. I swear I witnessed at least 10 instances of someone going past me but falling off the course. I ended up in third because everyone but me had a star at the end.

The second was a balloon battle on Sherbet Rink, or whatever the name is. I had no idea that there weren't teams like in the Wii game until the end of the battle. I kept trying to find someone with the same colored balloons as me, but I was having no luck. I somehow managed to win despite my most powerful item being a super leaf.

I have never been a fan of any Mario Kart game after Super Mario Kart.


Never been the largest fan of racing games. (They're ok) I haven't really played one since GT3


And I've always hated the randomness of Mario Kart. Destroy everyone all race, get hit by blue shell and come in 4th

Yeah, I don't care one bit for the racing genre. I can play MK sometimes and actually enjoy myself though, but not for like... Hours.

The only thing I hate about MK is getting 3-star on the cups......... getting for 40 points on the 150cc cups is hard enough with all the luck, but that's NOT EVEN ENOUGH? You have to like be in first place for the majority of every single race? It's such bulllllll.

I don't mind the luck in the game normally.... it's just when they apply bulls*** grades that make you rage when you get screwed over.

Well racing games are my thing, but Mario Kart is not the series you probably want to play if you want to get into and like the genre.

3 stars is easy, you just go so far ahead so blue shells hit you and you're still in 1st, at that point, nothing else can stop you either

now online, thats impossible, so many times I get hit by 3-4 consecutive items and lose all my coins

also the only racers I hate are realistic racers

you should go and listen to the born ruffians, julie doiron, basia bulat, the rural alberta advantage, wintersleep, and mother mother. streetpassing be damned, that's a solid line-up of canadian bands.

Mutant Mudds was very close to being great. I enjoyed playing it and enjoyed the difficulty, but I couldn't shake the feeling that the game was very unfulfilling.

Hope they can fix that in the sequel

One thing that sucked for my experience is that I didn't realize the upgrades in the middle house until I beat the game -____-

I still really enjoyed the game though, and aww yeah playable granny

My final opinion on MK7 is that it's the weakest entry in the series. Mario Kart used to be one of those series that I would buy a game from no matter what the critical reception was. Now, I will either have to try one out before buying or look at videos, reviews, and impressions in-depth.

I'd probably put it as my 3rd favorite in the series.
I don't like it quite as much as 64 or DD but definitely more than DS and Wii.

I have yet to even finish all of the cups in MKWii.

I guess that I missed the aqua blue post by SHINE. Kind of surprised if it is being discontinued due to sales. To me, that color looks the slickest of all that I have seen, so I figured it would be very popular. It's the color I obviously own anyway.
