Cena was cocky and arrogant during the whole buildup. The Rock clearly trained hard for this match and was 100% focused on beating Cena. Besides, I believe KANE said that if Cena didn't embrace the hate he was going to lose. He didn't, and he lost. Plus, the odds were in Cena's favor, and Cena himself believed that, and we all know what happens when the odds favor Cena.
As for Sheamus/Bryan, there is a way to make their feud a lot more interesting going into Extreme Rules. The things that everyone was giving DB **** for during his reign in terms of retaining his title, Sheamus kinda did the exact same thing. He took advantage of a distracted DB like a coward instead of decisively beating him like a man. I expect Bryan to bring this up. He's got some impressive wins at WM, but also some losses, too. Keep in mind he lost to HHH at WM and Undertaker has beaten him 3 times, now.
