'lolwut' or gimmicks just aren't sustainable in the long run. Levitate is just a more practical and all around more useful ability than Heatproof. I once versed a guy who nicknamed his Zong HEATPROOF which I admit I was confused as ** at for a second but Heatproof is just outclassed. -- I can't control it! GenesisSaga 02/15/12 3:30:00 PM #411:	Day 12: Dark Type Dark Type is notable for its nice, balanced stats and few strengths, and few weaknesses. Strong against Psychic types offensively, and immune to Psychic attacks defensively, it's a pretty solid choice. Also it's only weaknesses are Fighting (common) and Bug (XFD), so it's a safe bet you're only going to have to worry about STAB Fighting moves with a Dark type on your team. Dark type, also has the least amount of pokémon I hate. So why is it not higher? Back in Gen2 and Gen3... Dark types had high Attack, but Dark type moves relied on Special. This kind of hurt their usefulness... 5. Scraggy I'm so sad to admit that I freakin' hated this little guy when he was first revealed. Yet another lizard, this time with a goofy design that included saggin' skin pants and a stupid hair-like crest on its head. But oh my god, Scraggy and Scrafty have both grown on me to a phenominal degree. I'll always like Scraggy more due to the anime. 5. Umbreon Well unlike Scraggy, Umbreon has always been in my top five (even if its had to share the spotlight with one or two others). Sadly my first Eevee ever (since I started with Crystal and did a mostly blind playthrough) evolved into an Espeon. So it wasn't until Silver which I played a short while later that I even knew Umbreon existed. I fell in love with its sleek look. There are only two Eeveelutions in my top five. I'm sure you can guess the other one. >_> 5. Zorua Yep, 2 foxes and a 3-way tie for 5th place. Zorua would be one of my top ten on looks alone (god damn, it's adorable), but luckily for it the anime exists and pushes it up to top five. Mischievous little monster in every appearance, yes please. 3. Absol Absol utely. My #3 is the Disaster pokémon. I dunno... it's just... cool. I like the asymmetry as I already mentioned with Sneasel. 2. Mightyena Mightyena needs more love. Not only does it look awesome, it's the first pokémon to get the Intimidate ability if you play RS normally when it first came out. That's an awesome ability when you think about it. I mean, you cut the enemy's attack just by looking at it. Boss. 1. Houndoom Hound of DOOOOOOOOM. Was there ever any doubt? Okay, if you've been following Save My Dark Type Pokémon, there is probably some reasonable doubt. The reason I don't save it first is that it's never in jeopardy, but make no mistake: the hellhound is my favorite. Honorable Mention: None. It was formally Scraggy, but he's just so adorable I had to cheat and squeeze him on in there with Umbreon and Absol. Wow, Dark is just so appealing on the whole... It was also a bit of a pain to raise before the Phys/Spec split, which was the field I dealt with longest. 36. Nuzleaf It looks... funky. If not for the "Nuzlocke" legacy its funky look inspired, it'd prolly be lower... 37. Deino What to say about Deino... It's cute. But it's pretty unremarkable. Its line just gets better as it evolves. 38. Pawniard Another unspectacular member. I do love that one anime ep with Georgia revealing her Pawniard's gender as it strikes a girlish pose. VOGUE. Brilliant... 39. Carvanha Bet you were expecting Vullaby, Purrloin, or Madibuzz eh? NOPE! I like them. Not enough to be in my top... anything really, but I like them so they're spared the shame. As for why Carvanha is last is because I expected so much more for a pokémon based on a piranha. It evolves into a combination shark and torpedo so that's pretty cool, but this guy? Just okay... Btw, Carvanha has like next to zero quality fanart pics. I guess no one else likes it much either. Dishonorable Mention: None. In fact, I don’t even dislike any of the pokémon I placed in the bottom five. I just don’t like them as much as their evolved forms. Notice how even my least favorite is "just okay". I don't hate a single Dark type pokémon. There is one I kind of dislike, but it's a dual-type and that type is coming up soon so I've placed it in the bottom 5 for its other type. IT IS NOW TIME FOR... HAWT PREDIX! The remaining types are Dragon, Ground, Fire, Water, and Ghost. Anyone who guesses correctly gets a thirty minute doodle of whatever pokémon they want on MS Paint. Choose wisely though, because I'm only spending half an hour on it. Pick something complicated like Articuno or Reshiram and you may only get a half-finished sketch. Doesn't mean you need to pick Jigglypuff or anything that simple, but beware! :O Oh and if no one gets it right, everybody who guesses gets a ten-minute doodle. They're gonna be sooo awful.
