Welcome to another round of the Best OST Contest, where we decide the best game soundtrack by voting on the songs in it.
Condensed rules and guidelines: * You must listen to both songs in the match. Use the provided links. * You must vote on the songs in the match. Not the game's overall music. Not how much you like the game itself. ***VOTE ON THE SONGS*** * To help enforce rule 2, All votes must be given for the song title, not the game or the seed number. No exceptions. * Normal contest rules apply about alts, rallying, multi-voting, etc. * No mid-thread tallies, please. * Matches run 24 hours from when they start.
Next round is going to be crazy. Dat matchup, son.

Waltz of Gears very easy Life ~ A Distant Promise is one of my favorite songs that I've found out about recently. I kinda like Kinetic Harvest just goes on a bit too long for me

First match was VERY tough to decide. Waltz of Gears is not your typical boring waltz, but it could've been much better overall regardless. The thing I'm saddened about is that so few people are voting for Peace of Mind. It's a very sad and emotional theme, and it's great. Waltz just edges it out by an inch. Peace of Mind deserves much more.
On the second match, Life ~ A Distant Promise really caught my attention. It's a very powerful theme, the best song of the day, but perhaps a little too powerful to hold on its own (in other words, it may be trying a little too hard to sound epic/emotional, leading to a consistently great yet somewhat lacking song). Kinetic Harvest is good too, but I've heard better songs with pretty much the same kinds of sounds used in this song; it did really nothing to stand out and hold on its own that well (a.k.a. forgettable tune).
Waltz of Gears Life (didn't like it at first. Then it grew on me. A lot.

Oh, a big machine with flashy lights. A big machine like that has me written all over it. Well, okay, it doesn't. But give me time... and a crayon --11th Doctor
No contest when it comes to the first match. I find Waltz of Gears to be fun to listen to, while Peace of Mind is average. The second match was harder, but Life ~ A Distant Promise had a bigger effect on me than Kinetic Harvest. Still, Kinetic Harvest is really catchy, in many other matches I would take it.
