Previous results: a. Yesterday's matches were never even close. In particular, the Metroid Prime credits handed the Link's Awakening Intro the biggest beatdown we've seen, or possibly will see for the entire contest. Metroid Prime advances, 30-5. b. However, in a surprise, our 1 seed VVVVVV is the beated rather than the beater. Focus got out to a 12-3 lead against Pushing Onward and never looked back. Frozen Synapse advances 23-10.

MeGaLOVania toughie, both are quite good but this is just more good at the moment Auron's Theme- unlike a few others I actually think this match is cool and kinda hard.

I'm pretty biased here (having nommed one of the songs today and all), but boy is this day good. Auron's theme really surprised me - in spite of falling off, that spellbinding beginning is excellent, and I had totally forgotten about it. A pity it is up against a top tier chiptune, but whatcha gonna do? And of course, the first match doesn't need any explanations on my part - it's a Radiation (pretty much the top Homestuck composer qualitywise, and whose songs headline many key flashes) piece with an amazing guitar courtesy of another great member of the music team, and its competition is no slouch either. Vamo' Alla Flamenco is a classic, a total classic...it's just that it's up against a song whose style caters to my tastes better. MeGaLoVania>Flamenco>Flying Battery>Auron's Theme. Best day so far!
PS: MeGaLoVania for next VGMC guys. Let's make this ha(p)pen.

And once again, we have an absolutely amazing day. I was actually just wondering how long it would be until S3&K made its debut; absolutely amazing soundtrack, but I may be getting ahead of myself. Now, I realize that we're not actually getting fourpacks at the moment because the tiebreaker for MMX-FFT forced us on a schedule where the winner of the first match of the day faces the winner of the second match from the previous day, but again I'll say it: All four of these songs would be an easy pick over any of the four songs from Day 3--actually, of the eight songs from Days 2 and 3, the only one that would get the edge would be Golden Nocturne.
Homestuck is absolutely incredible with its soundtrack most of the time, and MeGaLoVania is no exception. But it's not as good as Vamo' Alla Flamenco
Likewise, as awesome as 2D Sonic was at catchy soundtracks--and I really would be happy if a Sonic game made a deep run in this tournament--Auron's Theme is just the better song here. (Admittedly, there are stronger tracks than Flying Battery, not that it's a horrible choice.)

what is this vamo a flamingo crap? I really don't care for either, and I definitely dislike the guitar in Megalovania, but everything else in the song is pretty cool
Auron's Theme
Like this better than most people I think. Good match
MeGaLoVania has some cool parts, but as a whole, I prefer Vamo' Alla Flamenco. Flying Battery Zone 1 is okay, but nothing that really impresses me. On the other hand, I really like Auron's Theme. Funny that I don't remember it from ingame at all, yet it sounds familiar to me. In any case, first match was a harder call than the second, but both were pretty clear to me.

Flying Battery - 2 of my favorites to win this entire contest go together right away..... Still S3&K is probably my favorite and Flying Battery is a shining example of why
