VGMusic of the Day 429: Faceball 2000 (SNES) - Zone 3: Asteroid Zone


I actually played this game as a kid. It was pretty cool back in the day. If I recall correctly, after finishing the levels in the arena-like mode, you were treated to missions that were more standard for FPS fare, complete with keys and secret rooms. The music has a distinctive sound. Somewhat dissonant, but overall it comes together nicely.

Nothing special for 11-11-11. Sorry. Wasn't thinking about it. Didn't even post my vid until 12 hours later than usual. =P

Sonic Generations is awesome and so is this song from it:

It was originally supposed to be up on day 139, but WMM wasn't cooperating with this song. I don't use WMM anymore though, so nearly 300 days later it finally goes up.

It gets a little polarized on the sound channels at times, noticeable with headphones, but it's a fantastically upbeat song that I discovered in a GFF contest.

VGMusic of the Day 436: A.R.E.S.: Extinction Agenda - Stage 2: Recycle Plant


I recently acquired (and finished) this game thanks to the ridiculously inexpensive deal previously up on IndieRoyale. The game is fun, fast-paced, and well polished. Music by the fellows at HyperDuck SoundWorks is particularly ROCKIN'. The Stage 4 theme was a close second choice for me, but I'll probably feature that at a later time. An official soundtrack for the game is due to be released in the near future.

Definitely a new one to me, but that's a pretty good song. Nice find.
