I know he's not exactly a carry, but Urgot is close enough.
I've been meaning to try Malz and Teemo, especially the latter since I skimped on his last free week. Kat and Shen are always fun, and I always make time for the newer guys.
Also, Janna is also getting a new model this patch, but no gameplay changes. Hell, we don't even have the full patch notes, so even if she did, I couldn't tell you what.

Urgot is a reverse carry, he doesn't really count. He is AD and does damage, but that's about it.

Well I think it's more that Teemo and Urgot both are auto-attack based dps. Also Urgot can totally carry if he's played by someone good enough. He has such an insane laning phase.

Is there any good way to play Katarina? I remember liking her the last time she was on rotation. Anything to keep in mind? A good item and skill build? Luckily, I already have a ton of CDR runes, so that works out well.

Yes, but unless it's ranked and the enemy team consists of Yi, Trynd, Mundo, Nunu and somebody else, she's so bad you might as well be fighting a 4v5. I consider it common courtesy. Would YOU like to fight a 4v5? No? Exavtly.

Little known secret: Morde has one of the highest win percentages at top elos. We're talking about something like 70% wins or so. He's way more powerful than you think he is. Don't fall into the trap of calling him bad like your average 900 elo scrublet who gets stomped by him does.

Harsh. Corki got crushed by that nerf. 50% AD damage lost for gatling.
EDIT: Harsher still: Kayle got roflnerfed. 10% penetration, so scary! At least Righteous Fury is properly rapey now.

Just ran the numbers really quick because Galio is my bro and all, and Galio's base armor growth evens out at level 8 from pre-patch to post-patch. That little bit of armor earlier on isn't gonna be huge, but it'll definitely be nice. It make make it affordable to get more manareg runes on him, even.

annie's absurd damage is only part of the reason why she's op and by far the best AP caster. It's a combination of her sublime damage output, her free armor/mr, her pushing ability, and her aoe CC.
It's like how Ashe is 'better' in general than Corki, even though Corki has more damage. Corki has better damage and repositioning, but Ashe's utility and her ultimate gives her the edge overall.
Brand and Anivia have more sustained damage, but Annie can drop the damage when it counts and kill/stun someone in an instant.
I'm saying she hasn't changed much from where she was months ago, except that she's good enough to be on a team late game. No one complains about her late game, where she actually improved.
People are only noticing her now because they are sheep.

You forgot Tibbers' ticks. They add up fast with a deathcap and voidstaff, which she's p. much guaranteed to have.
