Whoa I'm rewatching Beast Wars after like 20 years. It's cool that it's free. I decided to do some quick research on the whole franchise and not seeing Optimus Prime as a gorilla is foreign to me. --- ~Nintendo 64. Get N or Get out. One of the human characters (Spike) even looks like Amuro Ray from Gundam. Crazy. The more you learn I guess. I bought the 80s movie too. The thing is, I remember all the characters looking fine, it's more that the movement and stuff was very stilted, blocky, and tank-like. Everything moves a bit too unnaturally, and the background/world seems like a matte painting of sorts. I know it has its faults (backgrounds and certain physical character interactions) but like the characters themselves- especially the facial expressions- look great! They actually look alive, especially compared to some of the shows that came after.
