Right, the Wooper is the part that makes it seem insane but also the part that makes me care at all about the prospect of new Lets Go games.

Pokmon youre supposed to try to make me more interested in continuing to keep up with your games not less interested.

It sounds so bad so it's probably true. I don't mind the starters but can we not get another Let's Go

Pichu sounds more plausible than Wooper to be honest.

Let's Go were made entirely to cash in on Pokemon Go goodwill and I just don't see it being relevant in 2024.

Having watched my niece play Let's Go Eevee, I'm perfectly happy with it. It's clearly aimed at kids, but in a way that I think is just better. Stuff like decorating your trainer or Eevee, Eevee getting a customizable super move, and getting rid of random battles are just pluses all around.

Wooper as a starter is incredible and I'm all for it.

I saw this earlier and just want to point out that Wooper is very popular in Japan. Marill is unfortunately a bit more of a has been. I don't think the selection would be weird.

Psyduck was considered in place of Eevee and it sounded like not having two of the same color was made them go with Eevee

I don't see what makes this "leak" any more plausible than all the others being posted to 4chan daily.

All of these seem very fake, but especially the first one because there is no way Nintendo will announce new hardware before the end of the fiscal year.

Also new Lets Go is fine if it means more time between main games and Legends.

You can't evolve the starter Pokemon. You can catch one in the wild and evolve that way if you want.

the one with the legends kyurem rumour got me thinking a bit... what exactly do most people think they'd do for open world past unova to make it "better"? unova's defining features are predominantly either manmade (or heavily feature manmade structures to give them more character) or in caves (eg. chargestone cave, twist mountain, reversal mountain)... and the exceptions are often season-dependent too... given the setting it feels like gamefreak could well take the lazy way out and just turn it into notOrre lol

"hall of fame" rumour is the most absurd one since it has zero consideration for the fact that pmd is a spinoff to mystery dungeon first and runs on the notion that chunsoft would be totally fine with adding in probably vampire survivors elements... on top of them also supposedly announcing a separate roguelike too

also rbygsc straight up not even nso but regular eshop on the 4th one screams "made by somebody who has never used their switch for anything besides pokemon before", never mind the fact that the concierge game idea somehow manages to sound like a doa xtreme type game

Honestly, Wooper makes sense over Marill since Marill and Togepi would've meant that both games gave you a Fairy type.

I just went to the Pokemon Center a couple weeks ago and they had plushies of all the popular Pokemon you'd expect (starters, legendaries, Pikachu variants)... and then there was Tyrogue. Dozens and dozens of the ugly bastards.

Anyway, those logos look like "graphic design is my passion" fakes. The GS ball in the logo? As if. You mean the ball that was basically swept aside in hopes viewers would forget it after the arc was aborted? The GS ball artwork in Crystal looks nothing like the anime design, either.

The exclamation marks are too uninspired too. The Pikachu/Eevee ones used the tails for a much more attractive design. I'd expect them to incorporate something unique from Wooper's design, like the belly markings and/or the axolotl gills, and they'd make the Togepi one reference Togepi's cracked egg shape or head.

I'll eat a copy of Let's Go Wooper live on Stickam if this is real.

I mean they never officially released the Azure Flute/Arceus event in DP, did they? Then made Legends where that event was basically the endgame goal and put it in BDSP

So it's possible they bring back an old mystery like that and actually resolve it

Man, if you don't want another Let's Go, don't buy it. Simple. I hate that people have this mindset, "thing exists and that makes me angry." Like, I'm pretty sure Pokemon has more than one team working on all of its various media.

Anyway, Let's Go Pikachu/Eevee was enjoyable enough for a lighthearted playthrough and an easy way to pick up mons to transfer over to different games. I had a good time with it, and we could definitely use a break from main generation games.

Sure they can pull a BDSP+Arceus and release both this one and BW3/BW remakes close to each other but it's less likely than if those Let's GO bullshit games wouldn't exist

Because those things don't have to be mutually exclusive? Especially since, like you said, they already released all those games before? They have more than one team working on more than one game.

The ideal scenario is Generation 10 has more time to cook, so they need to release games in between, right?

I want them to just focus on Gen 10. It's clear that splitting the focus between multiple games is just making them all worse, so they should just go all in on making one game the best it can be.
